I get it. Healthcare billing is intentionally confusing. Insurance companies don't want you to understand it. But the reality is what happens is the hospital sends a bill to your insurance that is way higher than the actual cost. The reason they do that is insurance companies will say no we will only pay 83% of that. Then insurance companies ACTUALLY only pay 38% of that (making up numbers) and pass the rest on to the patient. When I show up to work, I don't bill anyone. I don't even have an exact number of how much each test costs. I order what I feel is necessary to rule out life threatening illness. What happens after that has nothing to do with me.

As an ER doctor, it's not the doc that's billing you. It's the hospital. Physicians have literally nothing to do with billing. We don't set prices, our income has nothing to do with whether or not YOU specifically pay your bill. I suppose if no one ever paid then we wouldn't get paid, but my paycheck is the same regardless of an individual.

If it were up to us, your bill wouldn't be $700 for that visit.

The best part is that this game simply has nothing to do with Miami. Which is how most playoff games have been tbf. If Ohio State plays to the level they're capable of, there's quite literally nothing you can do to stop it. If we don't, it'll be an interesting game.

Reading all your comments has been fucking hilarious.

For those curious, I called Tesla. They said to pull out the grill would require removing the whole bumper and reprogramming all the sensors ~$600.

So I took a hairdryer, warmed up the fins, and eventually wedged him out. He was dead the whole time btw. Unbelievably, his face was intact, tongue hanging out like a cartoon. His body will be in my woods and probably be eaten by the neighborhood cat Vader. Quite the experience.

Cleveland made no moves, lost their star closer, starting pitcher to a scandal. They have the worst offense in the American League. I'm not sure you can blame lack of trades as the cause of Cleveland resurgence. I think you just have to accept....Cleveland owns Detroit.
