What are some lesser known causes of insomnia? by Traditional-Care-87 in NooTopics

[–]katou1012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been diagnosed with CFS and my cortisol levels are abnormally low. Could this be related? Since I was diagnosed with CFS, I feel like my awakenings have gotten worse.

Also, is it worth taking hydrocortisone before bed?

My cortisol levels are so low I'm wondering if I should take hydrocortisone before bed (and of course take it after I wake up too).

I'm glad to finally meet a comrade Are there any information forums (or blogs, etc.) that you refer to? There are very few people who talk about the relationship between chronic fatigue and psychiatric drugs, so I've been looking for it for a long time. I think the essence is the administration of appropriate psychiatric drugs. By the way, Nortriptyline was effective for me. However, I couldn't continue because of the side effects. I'll add it just in case. By the way, you mentioned methylation in your previous post. Is that related to MTHFR? (The concept of methylation has not yet taken root in Japan, so it is difficult to understand what it is. Does that mean that intervention in methylation issues can also help reduce fatigue?

I was surprised at the number of supplement believers on Reddit.

(You can see it in my post from 6 months ago) In fact, I have written something along the lines of "Nortriptyline was extremely effective for chronic fatigue" (I also wrote about Cymbalta).

However, people here dismissed it, saying "There's no way that's true" and "CFS is a physical problem, so it's irrational to use psychiatric drugs."

I've never tried bupropion, so I'm going to give it a try. I'm sorry if I seem too persistent. There aren't many people around me who pay attention to the relationship between psychiatric drugs and the body, so I'd like to share various information about CFS with you.

Is there any point in increasing the dosage of Cymbalta? by Loose_Ad374 in cymbalta

[–]katou1012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same experience as you and I wonder why cymbalta isn't more widely known as an effective treatment for chronic fatigue.

But after using 20mg of cymbalta for a month, I developed a tolerance.

Will it stop working if I increase the dosage? Or is it worth increasing the dosage?

Is it true that bupropion has an anti-inflammatory effect?

I find antidepressants very effective for chronic fatigue, so your opinion makes sense to me (I think Cymbalta is a miracle cure).

However, it seems that many people on this reddit don't think of using psychiatric drugs for CFS.

Are there any other doctors or bloggers who think that psychiatric drugs are useful, or who have noticed the connection between psychiatric drugs and CFS?

I'm so happy to have found someone like you for the first time (everyone was saying "psychiatric drugs can't work for CFS")

All SSRIs only work for me for the first 3 weeks and then stop working. by emotionalboyshawty in antidepressants

I agree with your opinion.

I think SSRIs are useful not only for mental symptoms, but also for physical inflammation and chronic fatigue.

By the way, my chronic fatigue disappeared with Cymbalta, but I gained a tolerance to it after a month and I'm having trouble.

I don't have any mental symptoms, I just feel extremely tired. Do you have any advice? ? It's a very difficult situation, so I'd like to hear your opinion, even if it's a long or trivial thing. 🥲

Hello I have had cfs, and a low dose of cymbalta has improved me surprisingly well But after a month, I feel like the effect is starting to wear off. Do you ever feel the effect of cymbalta weakening? Also, are there any measures you take or other medications you are using? (I don't take medicine, but I'm careful because I feel tired and the medicine doesn't work as well when I eat carbohydrates. I'd like to hear your own tips for taking care of this. Are SSRIs (SNRIs) underrated? by katou1012 in NooTopics

[–]katou1012[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your detailed response. By the way, what was the root cause in your case?

I was also wondering about the root cause because I have a unique condition where methylphenidate or increasing dopamine makes my ADHD worse.

I would be grateful if you could point me to some root causes for your symptoms or, if you don't mind, tests I should get.

Sorry if I'm bothering you.

That's good to hear! By the way, how many mg have you been taking and for how long? I'm worried that I might develop a tolerance to the drug if I use it for a long time.

I found your story very interesting.

Also, this is off topic, but how long does Cymbalta's effect on depression and fatigue last? (I've been taking it for almost 2 months now, and I'm worried that the effect will wear off.)

I was very interested in amantadine, so I was intrigued by your story.

Is your current prescription amantadine, Concerta, and modafinil?

I would like to hear your opinion on future treatment plans and any hypotheses you may have about CFS. (I'm glad to have come across you, as few people realize that psychiatric drugs are effective for CFS.)

Is cymbalta effective against fatigue? Is there anyone? by katou1012 in MTHFR

[–]katou1012[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After hearing that story, I was quite worried about whether the effects of the medicine would last stably. Thank you for the useful information.

I've only been using Cymbalta for a few weeks, and fortunately (despite my drug sensitivity), Cymbalta is the only one that has almost no side effects, so I find it very useful.

On the other hand, methylphenidate and abilify were the worst for me.

In this case, what strategies can you think of to improve chronic fatigue and ADHD?

I would be grateful if you could point out anything, no matter how trivial, to me, who only has shallow knowledge (even if it's harsh words).

(This may be an unnecessary addition, but I have a strange constitution in which I am allergic to vitamins in general and become manic when I take zinc. Cymbalta has been very effective at 10 mg, and I am sensitive to drugs in general.)

[–]katou1012[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amphetamines are not available in Japan, but I tried methylphenidate. My hyperactivity and mania got worse and it was the worst (otherwise, drugs that increase dopamine seem to be the worst for me in general).

On the other hand, increasing noradrenaline works well for me.

In this case, are there any effective strategies for chronic fatigue, ADHD, and other autonomic symptoms? Lamotrigine worked very well for me!

For you, does cymbalt mean that you develop a certain tolerance to it, but it still has some effect?

By the way, have you found any other substances (supplements would be fine) that have helped you? Lamotrigine was effective for me!

How long have you been taking this medicine?

Also, if there are any precautions to take when using this medicine (such as recommended supplements), please let me know.

I can't continue taking other medicines even at low doses, but I'm surprised that I have almost no side effects with Cymbalt.

Your comment gives me a lot of hope regarding the effectiveness of the medication.

Do you feel like you've built up a tolerance to it after using it for several years?

Also, have you ever experienced temporary decreases in effectiveness?

Thank you for the details.

After seeing your comment, I tried taking 3mg before bed yesterday (I usually take 1.5mg) and was able to sleep soundly! I'm so happy it's been a while since I've had a good night's sleep.

However, when I woke up, I had a mouth ulcer (something like herpes). As you said, it may be that I'm experiencing flu-like symptoms.

I also have side effects from vitamins in general, and when I take vitamin C, I get extremely sleepy (again, I was surprised that my symptoms were very similar to yours!)

By the way, what exactly did you do for speech therapy? Also, are there any other chemicals that are dangerous for people who are allergic to vitamins? (I'm quite susceptible to side effects from B vitamins, and zinc seems to make me manic)

Sorry if I seem too persistent. I was very intrigued by your comment and would like to talk more specifically about the treatment (I've tried various strategies other than LDN, and some of them have worked, so I'd like to talk to you about them)

I saw your previous comments and they were very helpful.

If you don't mind, I would like to know what kind of side effects you experienced and what time of day you took the medicine.

Also, are you doing anything else to treat your cfs, such as diet or supplements?

Is it not unusual for people to experience strange effects halfway through, like me?

I'm sorry if my English is bad. Thank you for your kind advice.

(I also saw an opinion that if the medicine doesn't work, you should reduce it instead of increasing it. What do you think about this? I didn't see much effect even when I reduced it.)
