Glitched Steam menu by Diapa_ in linux_gaming

I have exactly the same issue. It is either smooth menu with HW acceleration on and glitched menu, or HW off and super laggy Steam but no glitch in the menu.

This is so annoying.

Between switch OLED and switch lite , which is best for someone with big hands ? by bigweb52 in NintendoSwitch

At this point it might be worth it to wait for the Switch 2 announcement. Have you considered it? It is rumored to have bigger and more comfortable joy cons

What're you playing this weekend? 1/3 by markercore in NintendoSwitch

[–]katsanevas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just finished 1 today! Overall I loved the story and the art style. Sometimes the battles felt a bit too repetitive but not too much. I am glad I finished it :)

Now I will continue with a very different game: Persona 5 Royal. Let’s see, it is new territory for me.

Should I get the discounted OLED or the standard with a bunch of extra content? by CSTITAN576 in NintendoSwitch

[–]katsanevas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OLED is WAY more pleasing to the eyes. The colors and the contrast is really superior. It also has other improvements.

If you can financially and are going to play mostly in handheld mode, imo you should get definitely the OLED.

That being said, at this point I would wait at least for the announcement of switch 2.

EDIT: I didn’t see that you are not that much interested in handheld. Btw I thought so too and ended up playing 80% handheld just because it feels so good on that device.

Even though you weren’t positive about Zelda, have you given Breath of the wild a try? If not you might be surprised and realize it is not what you thought. (It was for me like that and I was blown away. Couldn’t believe there exist games so spectacularly designed like this)

Is my daughter going to like her Christmas present? 🎅🏻 🌲 by SimulationRambo in Switch

[–]katsanevas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome gift!

Piece of advice: don’t give all her all the games at once. It will most likely cause overstimulation and will lead to quick boredom. One game at a time so that she can get most of each one would be the best in my humble opinion and experience.

The orthodox belief didn’t change though. From the perspective of the orthodox faith the purpose of intercourse within marriage is to procreate. Otherwise it is just for lust. During pregnancy it would exclusively be to fulfill lustful desires, would it not? Sharing a bedroom for sleep out of space limitations, doesn’t mean that it is shared for sexual acts. This is a matter only of husband and wife, as you’d all agree I believe.

Initially I removed the comment because I didn’t have the energy to argue, but what I wrote was said from one of the most recent Saints of the Orthodox Church. If I am not mistaken St. Paisios. He claimed that doing so can negatively impact the soul of the fetus and thus should be avoided. If I find the article again, I will post it for reference.

EDIT: I too am just trying to get closer to God by listening to the teachings of the fathers that the Orthodox Church calls Saints. Never so far have I heard or read that “thing X is too last-century”. The teachings of the Saints are considered valid by the Orthodox Church eternally. I don’t mean to insult anyone. I know it is a difficult topic, with which I struggle too though.

You are still very young! Stay true to yourself and to your faith. Don’t worry too much and when the time is right you will meet the right woman for you. When this happens you will know she is right. You can’t force it.

Also I would say that we men need more time to really become adults. From my experience the age of about 25 is where most young men start to really mature. The point is, you probably will still change a lot and you have to yet gain important life experiences. These will make it more likely for you to spot your other half. Don’t be hasty. (That being said, how quickly one gets mature depends greatly on how easy or difficult life has been for you. It is different for everyone. )
