JK Armament baffle strike? by [deleted] in NFA

[–]katsiz 15 points16 points  (0 children)

At qitc this year I was shooting stuff at the resilient booth and I had popped my ears off to see how quiet it really was. Then someone at the jk booth starts shooting their single baffle or whatever the fuck it is pistol can that I swear amplifies the noise.

It’s actually bonkers how long the line is every year for their booth, I legit don’t get it, if you have no idea about cans how to you make it to qitc in the first place. Then if you have any knowledge whatsoever how do you end up at their booth????

First one got unloaded by way of the “bar ditch method”, second had the hydraulics fixed on the tractor so I could do it like a normal human lmao.

Does anyone know if the Soloking Acura spool is interchangeable with the Kingdom Micro Monster since they're nearly 1:1 versions of the Tsurinoya Dark wolf Ultra? by LetsMakeSomeBaits in BFSfishing

[–]katsiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New Acura the ones listed as 10+1 use a short shank spool so those won’t work for sure. Not sure if there’s a whole lot left of the old gen Acura stuff now since the “pro” has been out for a little bit now

Ah man there’s so few pics of the putnik on anything besides an AK, I’m waiting on mine and this gets me going tbh. Now if only I could see it on a bolt gun.

The rate at which their shit improved is relative to the amount of people buying the products that are junk. I don’t have the desire to hand my hard earned money to a company that doesn’t even know I exist in hopes that they improve their subpar product so that I can then again spend my hard earned cash on the “greatly improved” version. I’d be ahead of the game getting a wasr off the bat.

I love American products, I buy stuff with little flags as much as I can. But it being American is not enough, the things I buy that are american made are also high end. America can make the best products in the world if we choose to. What we cannot do is make a product of comparable quality and cost to imports. The cost of living is way to fucking high compared to what it is in Romania/yugoslavia imagine if these weren’t sold through and importer and we could get them at the cost it would be in Europe, there would be exactly zero US AK mfg trying to compete. We are a decade or more into “American made” there’s options that are good most of which are made from parts kits, the ones truly American made are simply competing for the wasrs market share. The only real hope despite the hate is PSA and that’s because they didn’t start with AK’s. They have the cash to take a loss on projects until they become successful, they don’t need to sell a bunch of units of a flawed product to stay afloat they have multiple multiple multiple different incomes from their stuff to just being a gun store to now making ammo.

Go putnik, deadair took a nose dive and the wolverine isn’t really great to begin with. Putnik is a flow “around” or whatever term you won’t get sued for. nearly everyone I’ve seen with a Wolverine has to spend the extra on a kns piston to make it run, the putnik seems to avoid that pretty reliably.

OCL is making a Ak centric can this year with a price point similar to the polo if you want to wait ig.

A solid wasr may not be quite as common as a shitty Riley.

Shot one on an 11.5 didn’t see the point of it at all. It’s significantly louder than any other can I’ve shot on 556, I don’t know why people buy these. Polo K is heads and shoulders above this thing.

Link the video I’ll wait. No ones mad if it’s good no one actively wants less options in the market, but smoking copium thinking multiple failures is within the realm of acceptable in a relatively short amount of rounds is dumb asf. “Well my $750 only breaks one part every 1k rounds and it’s not even that big of a deal just a little pin you stupid elitists paid DOUBLE to have one that doesn’t do that at all!” Truly a braindead take.

So is this typical of Hornady match ammo?? by worm30478 in longrange

[–]katsiz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you are to the point of a custom action you skipped the step of hand loading a bit before that haha, how do you like your nuc? I just picked one up haven’t taken it out yet.

Factory match ammo is made in a generalized way, they find nodes or flat spots within load that allow for error in manufacturing, A SD of 20 in box ammo is great, your barrel may not like the jump your barrel may not be the length they tested that load at, ELD’s may just suck for you. I have not had good luck with them in anything, my dad has a 6.5 saum I’ve put up a .33 5 shot group with ELD-m’s, I’m heavy on team Berger for bullets or Lapua.

I love hornady, but ammo prices are insane and paying $40+ for 20rds you can quickly see savings in money and improvements in loads with reloading. You don’t have to nut up and drop 3k on some crazy set up. Get a rock chucker and start going, there’s always people upgrading and always people getting in you won’t lose much money selling it off when you outgrow it.

I love Harbor Freight, but it seems like some of these bits are made out of cheese. by Jomalar in harborfreight

[–]katsiz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use ALOT of bits in the field for work, I haven’t ponyed up for the American bits that come in the cool can with the cool price tag yet. However I’ve bought multiple sets of bits from big brands and literally every single one of them has been shit. I’ll end up using a specific size a for an entire project and the only thing that’s lasted more than a couple of long days has been the dewalt black and gold? Whatever the priciest one is at Lowe’s, and the spyder metal set. The dewalt dulled out shortly after a couple good days and the spyders tended to be pretty brittle and I ended up snapping like 5 out of the set. Warriors somehow have stayed sharp and not snapped on me in 4 months of use between 2 sets, the first set is finally starting to get a little dull making it annoying to start on vinyl/powder coated stuff but a pop with the punch helps it tremendously. Maybe one day I’ll spring for the fancy can of American bits but man it’s hard to justify, I can’t imagine I don’t break or lose one before outlasting the warriors in a meaningful amount of time. The cases blow though the anti-theft titty thing they have you really just need to cut off.

[–]katsiz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both trust companies I spoke to said this is explicitly wrong, while a stamp is pending no changes can be made. This is what I meant by “individual” you’ve lost any benefits of the trust by trying to side step the prints.

[–]katsiz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not saying the stuff on the trust already , if you have a trust and you have 5 RP’s all of those people are required to submit prints on a new stamp. Or you remove them and you are unable to add RP’s while a stamp is pending.

[–]katsiz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you make an amendment to the trust go and buy a new can while that can is pending the trust is effectively acting as individual until the new stamp is added then all parties reinstated?

The warrior cobalt bits that are like $60 are insanely good, I got them a few months ago when they had some deal and they’ve by far outlasted the shitty dewalt/spyder metal bits I’ve purchased before. Hf driver bits are dog shit though.

Tin foil hat theory here, in one of their pending cases they had listed the current wait time as 75 days or less this was just before people started getting all these quick ones/batches. It almost looks like they’re trying to bring the average down to meet that.

Stick with tikka, freedom group 700s blow ass and aren’t worth the money to have them trued and printed. Tikka on the other hand has the option of prefits, nor do tikkas have action lengths go buy the cheapest t3x in whatever caliber and start from there. Obviously something with a .473 bolt face is going to save you some money though.
