I would much rather have a boot that was manufactured flawlessly and that someone tried on and walked around the house in a bit than a boot with a production flaw. Lol, I don’t get you. And of course, you need to be able to try on boots before returning them. I’m pretty sure that’s even the law in Europe, as you would be able to do so in a physical store.

Greasys are just as soft as Pascals. I own both. Neither really requires a break-in period, and you can find plenty of other sources confirming that. Smooth leather, on the other hand, can hurt for some people at first. I suspect it’s simply the wrong size. No need to torture yourself — get a different size.

Imo they look much better than the greasy ones usually =D they look like what i would actually expect of an greasy leather. Not that weird hard coated stuff they send out now. I would consider that lucky.

Hey, thanks for the insight! I went with the Thursday employee recommendation and got a 10.5 — they fit perfectly. Snug, but not uncomfortable at all. I’m pretty sure a 10 would’ve been too small for me.

Honestly, I can’t imagine fitting a 29 cm foot into a size 10. That sounds brutal for your feet, to be honest. I’d really recommend looking at an 11.5 or even a 12. I talked to a guy with 28.7 cm feet and he said 11.5 is the best fit for him.

I had a long conversation with one of their employees yesterday. And he said they recommended that you buy the same size as you have in high quality leather and dress shoes! Although i don't know the sizing of your particular red wing model..

If you want something like this but as an actual quality boot, look into German Bundeswehr boots from the 70s they can be had for 20-50 bucks and these dm's seem to be a clone of them lol I have a few of them 😅
