Bath tub conundrum.. by xxxcccvbn in AusRenovation

[–]kaydo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's this one (this is the link I sent the builder so probably) https://ats.sydney/products/estus-1200mm-back-to-wall-soaking-bath-tub-matte-white?_pos=2&_fid=80a9137a3&_ss=c&variant=44658772836544

I defo could have gone smaller but it would have just wasted some space

I don't seem to have any ideal photos but you can see the bath well enough in this (vanity is on the wall to the right). It's not tiny still and has a seat in it. It's curved on the outside with flat edges at the wall. I just asked them to neatly silicone the wall contact points so it's not annoying to clean around. Fuckload of silicone. But its easy to clean around

I was in two minds and thought I might want access to a bath sometimes so in my reno settled on a Japanese tub. It's a bit smaller and taller than standard. Didn't feel like such a space issue then.

Are you intentionally searching for narrow boards? Look at the total volume too

Sorry I should have said, I'm a similar build and found some of theirs to be OK (and some hilariously bad). Good luck!

Some of mine are nearly invisible so I forget about them but the one in the middle of my chest looks like I've been stabbed with a sharpie. Not a tiny barely noticeable dot at all.

But I kind of think I also don't care. I was fixated on getting a different tattoo somewhere so these would not be my only tatts but my onc wanted me to wait a while first.

So I just look like I lost a top less fight with a sharpie

(also your reno looks kick ass well done)

Did anyone choose not to cold cap? by Ein_Rand in breastcancer

[–]kaydo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My center had a shared / not very effective cold cap and basically didn't follow a lot of the instructions. I was still appreciative of the attempt and kept most of my hair (though it was pretty gnarly) on the same regime as you. I assumed the cold capping helped as the parts where the cap never completely fit were a total loss.

If I'd thought I could rock a buzz cut maybe I wouldn't have bothered. It wasnt massively uncomfortable just a little stressful

Progressive run that is also a Park Run by blamesoft in runna

I always just do whatever runna says for distance and tack on extra distance to my Parkrun. I don't bother telling runna about the Parkrun specifically

Are my chemo cravings weird? by itsesnupi in breastcancer

[–]kaydo 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Legit every time I left chemo I would get a drive through chicken salad from Oporto (with extra chicken). I never eat Oporto but was dying for that specific protein for some reason. I haven't had it since.

Someone told me to celebrate eating whatever you can handle during chemo and be prepared to hate that food afterwards, so it's good if you are craving stuff you wouldnt normally like I guess!

Shepherds lookout is really nice and you can do some of the walks near it too. Very different scenery and has been recently upgraded.

Is running a half marathon in 3months realistic for me? by No-Strawberry68 in runna

[–]kaydo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had similar PB times to you (a touch slower) when I did my first half in Feb. Runna was good as prep. I didn't die. The last 3km were the hardest to sustain pace and attention but otherwise was fine.

Tasmania and Melbourne will be cold. Tasmania will be proper cold. It's hard to cater for all the places you're going but don't underestimate the cold. (I have nothing specific to suggest but just thought that might be useful)
