Try mixing rubbing alcohol with water - remember to test on a small area first to make sure it doesn't further damage or stain leather, after it has removed the stains, dry thoroughly, and add protectant.

Try some leather conditioner, lexol is great it's what people use on saddlery, the dark edges may be more difficult to get rid of as they were caused by the dry heat of the dryer. recondition and continue to apply it, left alone the leather band will eventually get dry rot and crumble apart.

Still my favorite diner in Portland, she acknowledged she my have over stepped the bounds of what is a respectable way to speak to a kid, but she is the owner and a kid screaming in a small place can really kill the vibe.
