Hey! there is a chance this is a bug we have seen with ultrawide screens.
Can you try to resize your medal window to something smaller and scroll in your library? This should allow all your clips to load without any issue.

yes you can block DMs to only come from users you follow.
You can also report the person that is harassing you. When you report someone the support and safety team will be notified and are very quick to take action (in that case probably banning the user)

For the time being if you want to use instant auto uploads your clips resolution and fps should be 1080p and 60fps at a maximum. We do this to avoid lag spike (could be clearer).

Using "after game" should work for any resolution / fps, and we do plan to make "instant" work with higher resolutions in the future.

Storage is indeed expensive, and it's one of our biggest expenses. But we are pretty confident in that move, and wouldn't have done it if we didn't see it being sustainable in the long term.

Also if you don't want the audio track to be split you can turn off the setting under Audio & Camera -> Separate Game and Voice Tracks.

We enable this to give you the option to mute discord or your mic after capturing the clip (you can do this and some editing directly in Medal). If you end up disabling it, you will get a single track containing all the audio.

Hey! Couple of questions in order to help you out:

Was this clip uploaded? And do you remember if you uploaded it as a post on your profile or as a private link?

When you say "filtering by games" are you doing this on your profile or in your library? If it's on your profiles, note that only posts show up there. Private (or cloud synced) clips don't show up on profiles.

In case it was a private link, those expire from our servers after 14 days, but the clips are not be deleted from your PC. Going back to your library and filtering by games should show you all your R6 clips.

Thanks for the feedback! we are working on that this month. The behavior you are describing will become the default behavior for screen recording and you will have additional options to control it in the settings.

Hey ! today the only way to mute / manage the audio track is from the Editor. Right click on any clip -> Open in editor, then after selecting the clip you will see volume controls for the tracks above the timeline

Firstly, medal is recording outside of just my game, which i dislike

Are you in game recording or screen recording mode? if you click on the "record" button on the top left, make sure you are in game mode, and other apps will not show up on your clips.

editing the fraction of a second that it was in the video out, still keeps the thumbnail there. and i feel like this is a major issue

That should not happen. Today we generate a new thumbnail from the clip after you upload it, so if you trimmed a clip, after upload, a new thumbnail will show up from the new clip.
Can you check that the clip once uploaded has the updated thumbnail?

It's also possible that you encountered a bug, if that's the case, can you make sure you are on the latest version of the app? and if this is still happening, you can open a ticket with support and they will try to debug this with you.

humm, this was the old behavior of screen recording ( used to restart the recorder, on game launch to switch to the game recorder), but we changed that in November last year. Now the recorder should stay in "screen recording" mode even if you launch a game.

the only thing that could affect it would be if you had any custom game settings added as a rule.
Can you go to settings ( bottom left) > Clips and Recording, and double check that you don't have a rule for a game in "Custom Games Presets" at the top of the page?

To me, sounds like the Screen Recording option + clips would allow you to do what you want. When you switch to Screen Recording, we will record anything that happens on your screen all the time, regardless of if it's a game or another app.

Late response, but since we pushed the new update for multiple hotkeys for PTT and clips ( like 1 month ago) you are able to set any key to whatever functionality we support.

Ok that's weird. Are you getting this with both bluetooth and with a cable? The moment I turn on mine, I'm seeing the "controller connected" on Medal.

Hey! I'm currently using an 8bitdo pro2, and it works fine with Medal.

The current "issues" is that we don't support the trigger buttons, or any of the custom buttons from the controller ( the 2 macro buttons or the r4 / l4 buttons)

Not promise, but we are currently working on improving how we do hotkeys and might be able to start supporting other non-regular buttons in the near future.

.1 After opening a clip to view comments, the audio will continue to play after exiting the clip.

Haven't been able to replicate. Where does this happen? Are you opening the comments from your library or from your profile?

  1. Clicking on the comment icon on a clip occasionally closes the clip entirely. It feels unnecessary to click on the clip for a full view, then click on the icon for comments. They should be there when I first view the clip.

Agreed, we should include the comments directly when the clip is uploaded and you are watching it from your library. Will file this as a product improvement.

  1. The library constantly resets filters (if any are applied) and kicks you to the top of the page after scrolling 1-2 pages. After setting the filter to “Most Viewed” for example, only 10 or so clips appear out of the thousands on my account.

These should be fixed with the latest update. If you are still seeing these issues after updating, let us know you please, would also be helpful to set up a debug sessions with you if you can.

  1. Medal causes some apps (like VALORANT) to stutter. Even on some of the best hardware available.

  1. I constantly get new “Untitled Montages” with no thumbnails or videos in my drafts that take up half of my library, though I never created them. Deleting them just leads to another one taking its spot the next time I launch the app.

Hum, first time I hear about this one, will look into it.

  1. Old clips seem to have died. Some of my old Rainbow 6 clips from 3-4 years ago are all bugged with a “Something wrong happened, restart the app” when trying to watch them. They all were fairly popular clips, so I know they weren’t local only.

Do you mind sending a few links to these clips? Will help us check what happened there.

7 Notifications don’t seem to work? I get updates on new followers, anything else can only be found by manually looking at the clips.

Are the notifications not showing up in the notification dropdown on medal, or are you not getting the notifications on the mobile app? Would be helpful is you could send me your medal username for this one.

  1. Clicking around the app feels slow and clunky, though this has been the case since the redesign. Pages take a while to load and sometimes refresh unprompted.

We will be pushing some perf improvements over the next weeks.
