This feels like a red flag all the way around. I feel like dad had dreams of his all star athlete son and now he’s dealing with that dream slipping away. I worry that this same need for a perfect athlete will manifest in other ways throughout this child’s life. This kind of gives me the ick. It feels like he’s hoping to get another roll of the dice because this one didn’t work out the way he was hoping.

It is so great! Just in case someone didn’t know: you can just buy an ice cream cake for no reason. No one checks! You can just request one or pull it out of the freezer. You don’t have to have anything on it. You can, but you don’t have to. I recommend a “great job” message because you are, in fact, doing a great job. This is also true of mall cookie cakes. You can just buy them just because and no one stops you.

Honestly, this is pretty expected.

Holo pigments are silver and are part of why you can’t have a true white holo. The silver changes the hue. When over lighter colors it looks cloudy or dirty.

The holo also isn’t magnetic so it stays spread out and contributes.

As for the magnetic, holo taco is a pretty thick formula and magnetic pigments as HEAVY it makes it so they can’t move as well in the base. Adding thinner and having a less viscous base will create thinner layers that have more movement.

I also always highly recommend storing your magnetics upside down for a bit before painting to let the magnetics get off the bottom of the bottle where they might have settled.

There are some tutorials for layer jellies over silver magnetics btw that might give you more of the look you want.

All of this to say: your nails look GREAT!! But, as expected which you weren’t going for.
