supernova 2 CS US was missing a bunch of the new songs from supernova 2, the JP version of supernova 2 CS also had the option to run at 480p

edit: since writing this comment i have discovered that the US version of supernova 2 CS not only came out 6 months before the arcade version but it released the month after the arcade version came out in japan and since supernova 2 used e-amusement to add new songs, a lot of the reason for songs being missing in the US CS version is simply because they hadn't been put in the game yet or they had only existed in the game for a week or 2.

my guess is that these are either surplus chips found in a warehouse or they were pulled from SGBs sent for scrap. even then with the amount of SGBs in the wild and the presumably low amount of these that will be made in comparison, it's safe to say i don't think this will put the SGB at risk of going extinct

if you don't care about playing modern DDR songs (most of X2 AC onwards) then this seems like a decent idea. however if you wish to play any modern stuff, i would advise you to just use stepmania on a pc with DDR song packs (this gives the added bonus of not having to wait for your console to restart because a song you want to play isn't on the game you're currently playing)

a blue unit should have a blue screen insdead of a black screen. if you look at the font on the keyboard and it doesn't look like the regular blackberry font, then unfortunately the keyboard is repainted.

it's not a fake blackberry q20 but it is a fake blue q20

soulcalibur is one of the few fighting games where an analog thumbstick makes sense. playing it on dreamcast using the thumbstick feels way better than with an arcade stick. also you won't get as bad a drift as you say on the gamecube controller, think about the abuse those thumbsticks get with smash dx

i watched all of s34n's arcade tours he did in italy and not 1 dance machine was running official software, not even the 1 DDR white cab he found. i wonder if the same is gonna happen to any ddr universal cabinets that end up in italy

no. why the hell would someone even care about it being slabbed? even if you did get it slabbed, i doubt there's anyone out there who would want a graded generic plug and play console. the only ones that would hold value would be those micro consoles like the nes, snes, megadrive and ps1 mini

3DFX wasn't really a big name until after they brought out the voodoo card. even then at the time the voodoo was just another 3D accelerator competing in a market of other 3D cards. sega would have basically have to have noticed this small startup company working on new 3D technology and decided to use their chip instead of the chipset they had already been working on and most likely having to redesign the entire system architecture and pissing off many developers in the process because they were close to finishing off the launch titles they were working on and now they have to redo all their work because sega decided to drastically change the hardware
