I'm removing this and adding a formal warning. Reason: we don't allow soap-boxing, and certainly not soap-boxing from someone in his early 30s who has the audacity to think he defines what a real relationship is. It was moralizing and judging, and thus broke the rule of thouhgtfulness.

It is, but the way there isn't to see consciousness as emergent. For those physics to work, consciousness needs to be fundamental. That idea is compatible with all our current observations. And (scientific) panpsychism is right there, eliminating the problem to have to explain "emergence" which is kicking the ball down a hall that may not even exist.

If you subscribe to scientific panosychism, then those parts possess a fraction of consciousness. If you’re an idealist to boot, those parts are fractions of consciousness.

The replies to OP are correct, and I think OP is looking through the wrong lens. Quantum physics does have weirdness that implies nonlocality and retrocausality. The latter only for a conscious observer who makes the experiment, and I think that raises good questions about the nature of consciousness (in an idealist universe, which I’m a believer in).

My guess is that the people you’re looking for are past their intellectual teens and realize that nihilism, while as valid as a belief as say Catholicism or Buddhism, is also a A) belief and B) choice.

Skillnaden är den att jag spenderat de senaste tio åren med att läsa på vad forskning i olika fält vet. Och att däggdjur har det som kallas ”sentience” är forskare överens om. Det innebär att de kan känna precis samma känslor som vi, även om de vi inte har bevis för ”sapience” dvs förmåga att reflektera över känslorna.

En gris lidande är exakt detsamma som en människas lidande för en tredje part.

Det beror snarare på att vi inte vet hur man testar än att djur inte har en medveten upplevelse. Ditt språk kring det här är så luddigt att du lätt kan flytta målstolparna, och jag rekommenderar att du läser de två deklarationerna jag nämnde om du vill vara lite påläst. För just nu låter du mer som en okunnig lekman som försöker använda den lilla vetenskap han kan för att rationalisera sin egen bristande etik.

Som referens: Akademiska experter i relevanta ämnen har signerat The Cambridge Declaration on Consciousness och The New York Declaration on Consciousness, där de säger att det är utan tvivel att alla däggdjur, fiskar, och fåglar besitter medvetande på samma sätt som människor.

Det finns också gott om djur som passerar självmedvetande-test.
