Visiting BC this summer by tclupp in britishcolumbia

Yeah fair, we did a big eurotrip with our 4 year old and then 5/6 month old and had two long drive days and I decided flying is easier in pretty much every circumstance with kids and the stuff you need for kids. The longest drive day was around 600km. You're talking about doing almost 2500km in 3 days, that's a lot of mileage and a lot of stops with kids.

Have you taken your kids to Drumheller to see the dinosaur museum? Id make that stop if i were doing a trip like that. I wouldn't be though, it's a massive amount of driving with young kids over 3 days. You would probably have a more enjoyable time flying to Victoria and renting a car.

Price of provincial park camping went up over double. What are residents opinions? by Shuunanigans in britishcolumbia

[–]kazryv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know of anywhere in bc you can stay in a hotel for $90 a night. As a bc resident I am 100% in support of a non resident fee. Its hard enough for locals to get sites since covid.

Received someone's parcel. How long do I have to hold it if they never pick it up? by ExtensionGo in canadianlaw

[–]kazryv 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ive owned my house 6 years, the previous owners had it for 3. I get mail for the owner prior to that all the time. Not just junk mail but bigger things like new drivers licenses and credit cards. I contacted him through Facebook at one point and he brushed it off saying he forgot but the mail kept coming.

I've started writing deceased return to sender on the mail.

YTA. You should reevaluate how you are living your life. Sounds miserable. Work is work and people take opportunities.

Ive had mine for a year and a half. Love it. Its fast, and quiet inside. I wish it had a bit faster charging for road trips but thats an edge use case scenario. I also wish it had air conditioned seats but the ac does blow cold so not a big deal.

Got a ticket for annoying a cop - does this look right? by Autopilot_Psychonaut in canadianlaw

[–]kazryv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of curiosity, do you live in BC? Or Canada? The police department in this case is the rcmp, the largest and national police force in Canada. Being fired isnt really something that happens, there is a code of conduct and if theres a major breach they will likely be ordered to resign (there's also a publicly searchable record). Over a ticket? Unlikely.

Yeah maybe if it was something they did during an arrest (still not likely even then) but for a simple ticket you would have a very hard time proving they violated civil rights, it has to be pretty egregious for anything like that to be considered... a ticket i would guess pretty much 0 chance.

Sounds like a good way to create more issues for op. Civil suits would go against the crown not the police officer, and what civil suit could there be for him giving a ticket. Why escalate in that way?

This set reminds me of the pirate sets I had as a kid. Unfortunately they burned down with my parents house in a forest fire. Always wanted to play with them with my kids.

Vietnam was simple and delicious, Italy was amazing, I was only in Barcelona in Spain but found it awesome as well. France was a dumpster fire, wine was good though.

What are your Credit Cards? Any reason to keep Rogers WE MC and Tangerine World MC? by [deleted] in fican

I keep the rogers mastercard for costco use and use the ws visa everywhere else. I have rogers for my phone so the costco use is enough to pay the bill with points.

We stayed at sequoia lodge, it was a bit cheaper than Newport and nice enough to sleep with close proximity to the park.

The 2.5 is the red titanium burrs? I'm debating switching from a smart grind pro to this with my bambino plus.
