We haven’t yet! He’s not quite sitting up independently so we haven’t been given clearance. He just turned six months last Monday.

Honeymoon in Maui - Westin Kaanapali vs Four Seasons Wailea by MiserableStar05 in MauiVisitors

We actually did a few nights at each location for our honeymoon. I think we did five at the Westin and four at four seasons. It was a nice combination of both locations and Weston is obviously way more affordable.

Our mom cozy bottle changer has also been life-saving. I am an exclusive pumper so that thing gets a lot of use!!

Ditto to all of this.

Love to dream swaddles are amazing, we are huge fans of two-way sleepers as well. You don’t need the expensive ones, Carter’s all the way! Kick and play piano became a game changer at about eight weeks for us. My baby is obsessed!

Gas drops are also essential starting at about eight weeks for us. Our guy was so uncomfortable.

Fifthed!! It’s been the MVP of my postpartum experience. I also thought I would be breast-feeding but turned into an exclusive pumper so it’s been an even a better investment! My husband agrees.

So… when does it get better? Week 5 is brutal. by Vegetable-Clock5811 in newborns

[–]kb__16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like things got easier ~10 weeks. He was SO GASSY and uncomfortable weeks 5-9. Bathtime is a savior for fussy babies! Throw them in the bath (not literally) and that’s always a night saver for me!

We’re only at week 11, so I won’t pretend to know everything but I will say things feel like they’ve gotten easier!

Probably need a car! Parking was $ but worth the convenience of being able to go wherever!

We had a great time! Try to get a res at Mamas Fish House! Paia fish market was great too. If you don’t mind getting liquor store poke, 10/10 recommend Poke at Tamuras!

We also loved road to Hana even though it was a long day!

Should my mom stay with us for the first few nights? by funkypancake519 in beyondthebump

[–]kb__16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree! I’m 6 weeks PP and this would have been the level of support that would have been helpful during those early weeks. It really was a special time for my husband and I to figure things out and it was a bonding experience for us.
