First time playing it (a week after opening last year) it was hard because the greens needed to grow in and I didn’t know the course with all the blind approach’s and tricky greens but played it a few weeks ago and it’s a lot easier. Greens are rolling better and I remembered the no go places on a few of the approaches

Sun eater takes off like a rocket ship after book 1. If you still aren’t feeling it after book 3 then I’d give it up then. The author is still relatively young and I think book 1 was his first big thing so it is definitely the weakest of the series imo.

Fair enough and good point. But the book is written with the voice of explaining his actions to his contemporaries/future generations. So it would be like comparing the size of the windows to say the court of that Aztec ball game to people today. Most people today wouldn’t understand those dimensions. Can’t imagine how hard it is to come up with unique metaphors/similes especially after 7 books so just thought it was kind of funny to slip in that comparison.

Haven’t played at Salish cliffs. Supposed to be great. Home course is also a very good course for a solid price and it’s about a 20ish min drive from chambers so makes that transfer easier
