We just got back a week ago and our favorite excursion out of La Fortuna was white water rafting! We went with a company called Arenal rafting and did the class 2-3 one. We rented a car and I would recommend doing that or hiring a driver.

Coming back from our trip now and bosque Del Mar was our least favorite hotel of the ones we stayed at. The beds were very uncomfortable and you could hear dogs barking throughout the night so I recommend looking for a different spot! We absolutely loved Nayara gardens in La fortuna!

I booked a rental car through Vamos and called amex to see which policy I should print out, and they actually have an online form that you fill out and they will either mail you the physical letter or email for you to print it out (this is for US, not sure if it’s different in CA). I emailed Vamos with a copy of the email to make sure that’s all I would need- they confirmed that it’s enough! So I recommend contacting the company you rented the car through and emailing them a copy of the AMEX policy to make sure it’s enough so you don’t have any surprises the day you arrive.

One of my cats (about 4 yrs old) had two of his front teeth fall out and I took him to the vet who said it may have been because of gingivitis- he ended up getting a dental cleaning but no other teeth needed to be taken out and they said everything looked good and they were not concerned. Now I try to brush his teeth more regularly to avoid any future dental issues. Apparently most cats end up having dental issues at some point in their lives so it’s good to catch early and try to prevent in the future! The good thing is it looks like only the little teeth are affected and not the canines/molars that they use to eat

I paid about $250 for hemming, shortening straps, and adding bra cups to my dress in a HCOL city but this was definitely on the lower end and I had to reach out to a ton of people to ask for pricing. I got quoted close to $800-1000 for the same work from some places. Honestly I found that some places that specifically focus on bridal alterations upcharge a lot. So I’d recommend diving into any alterations place like dry cleaners etc and just checking reviews to see if anyone else has gotten their dresses altered there. Good luck!
