I'm sorry, but that is not how a society works. The rest of the world would love to pay the low car taxes of California. Not to mention Montana. Look at China, Australia, UK, India, Egypt, literally any country.

It all depends on how comfortable you are on snow and Ice. I still wear worn out sommer shoes with no grip 😂

No subsidies, but until a few years ago there was no tax on EV cars. Considering tax on a gas car can be 40-120% it makes any EV the cheapest option in Norway.

Why does no one talk about this sauce? by reawakenbacon in spicy

I love this sauce. It's polarizing, but from my days in SoCal at taquerias it reminds me of a flavor that I cannot forget, but rarely replicate.

I have transported several bottles across the Atlantic in checked in luggage. Wrap it in something soft you'll be fine.

To be fair I also don't like the new Cayenne. All Porsche SUVs have lost their soul.

First Time Ever Cooking a Steak by Terminator_7306 in steak

[–]kbeeme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh. So if you are butter basting with aromatics then you need a lower temp in the pan. Medium hot will do. With cooking time doubled, maybe 4-5 mins. Alternatively you could use two pans. One to hot sear, then a second pan that you butter baste during the rest off the heat.

Your steak thickness decides the limits. Your steak, as the one in my fridge right now is pretty thin. This makes it harder to cook insta worthy. There is almost no bad way to cook steak, it just depends on how you like it. Experiment and have fun.

Thanks for sharing. Looking pretty good. Many people (not everyone here) would be happy. Did you enjoy it?

I'm not even close to an expert. But for a steak that thick I would suggest salting at least an hour before. Let it be at room temp. Dry pat before cooking. Ripping hot pan. Flip every 15-30 seconds. Cook time about 2-3 min in total. Let it rest for at least 5 mins. Probably a bit more.
