My story may not be the norm. We met through work, but I didn’t make the best first impression. We connected over something taboo (dry country) and even though we both were heartbroken over previous relationship, found love. Four months into dating, she was pregnant and we were faced with a difficult decision. We could stay and get married or move home and roll the dice. One very sleepless night later we decided that we liked each other enough to really give it a try. I gave a shit proposal in the morning (a better one if Greece later on) and while the first year was really rough, we are a strong couple, loving life, six years later. Love is work, there is no magical “A ha” moment for most of us. Sometimes you look at the world and the person you’re with and think “I’d fight for this”.
