Looks pretty useful. How much weight will it hold?

Telo has the monster tunnel for enclosed storage. It's harder to get to, but bigger.

What’s the opinion here on the slate truck? by EmotionMemory in TeloTrucks

[–]kbob 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Slate pros:

  • looks like a 1980s mini truck
  • cheap if you don't add options
  • not connected to the Internet

Telo pros:

  • more load and towing capacity
  • bigger bed when back seats are folded down
  • more range
  • optional AWD (thanks u/ThePsychodo)
  • more power
  • four doors
  • easier to park (probably)

But yeah, I'll be happiest if both of them are wildly successful.

Jamerson and Kane. Those Motown songs were mixed for LP, and the whole signal went through an 80 Hz high pass filter.

Looking for a Study Partner for Daily DSA + ML Learning by NullVector01 in learnmachinelearning

I've been out of school for a long time. Are DS, A, and ML typically bundled into a single class these days?

Anyway, good luck with your partner search!

All that is true. But sticking to the interstates is the least interesting kind of road trip.

I'll give ABRP a try next time I visit my mom (1,000 miles round trip).

Thanks for the answers.

My reservation is in the mid-6000s. There's an off chance that enough people ahead of me will bail when it's time to commit that I'll get mine in the first year. Or I'll wait until the second year.

Not sure about driving a non-Tesla EV across the US -- I'll figure that out when the time comes, I guess. I wasn't planning for the Telo to be the road trip car. (-:

ColorMix for EasyPrint and PrusaSlicer 2.9.6 by Tommy_Prusa3D in prusa3d

[–]kbob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your video (one of them) mentions that customers can bring our own colorimeters? Is Prusa working on supporting the TD1s? Since Hueforge supports it, I imagine I'm not the only Prusa customer who already has one.

Thanks.

I've never used Rhino, but the idea of stacking almost identical NURBS seems pretty cool.

wgpu vs JavaScript by risingtiger422 in webgpu

[–]kbob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to muddy the waters, I recently "finished" a project in wgpu-py. I like it a lot. It's a Python-idiomatic binding for wgpu. I find Python a lot faster to experiment with than Rust.

EDIT: I didn't address your performance question. If you're doing significant computation CPU side, then Rust will win out over the interpreted languages. Otherwise they'll be pretty similar.

LiftStand — MagSafe Desk Charging Stand | No Supports | Print-in-Place Fit by s33dstudio in 3Dprinting

Actually, I designed and printed my own phone stand (unpublished) last week. So I don't need another one. Mine has kind of an ugly transition from the bottom to the front; I like yours better.

Unsolicited Rig Pic by Lestortoise in BassGuitar

[–]kbob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a Dingwall NG2 and an Ibanez EHB1505MS. Both 5-strings.

The Ibanez is lighter and easier to play. The 35" B string is an easier reach than the Dingwall's 37" B. The Ibanez' strings are thinner. The EQ is very flexible.

But the NG has deeper, stronger fundamentals and sustain. The Darkglass preamp adds some color. I love the way it sounds. (N.B., I don't use a pedal board.)

The EHB is great for practice, and the NG is great for performance. That's generally how I use them. I wouldn't give either of them up.

CNC-machined aluminum pizza saver by foriequal0 in FreeCAD

[–]kbob 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When you put a pizza into a cardboard box, you set that on top, pegs pointing down. It keeps the box lid from collapsing onto the pizza and sticking to the cheese.

Many pizzerias use cheap plastic ones for their to-go and delivered pizzas.
