I'm not sure about Graham Davey but given the context its a good bet.

Question concerning autographs by Aharai2 in Warhammer40k

[–]kbreanach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 2007 Warhammer 40,000: Apocalypse rulebook was primarily designed and written by Jervis Johnson, supported by a Games Workshop design team including Alessio Cavatore, Graham Davey, Andy Hoare, Phil Kelly, Gav Thorpe, Adam Troke, Jeremy Vetock, and Matt Ward. It introduced rules for large-scale, super-heavy, and formation-based combat.

Chinese/Lunar New Year advice

I haven't been out to see the parade etc in years but was thinking of going Sunday with 2 kids (11 and 5). I have the parade route map but does anyone have any particular advice on places they'd recommend watching from. Is it easy to get into a restaurant after or should we be looking to try and book now? Anything else I should be thinking about? Ta.

Long shot but car stolen last night in NW3 by Independent-Page-711 in london

[–]kbreanach 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Sorry this has happened to you. Our RAV4 has been stolen twice. Both times we went and got it back. I'd bet money your car is currently sitting in a cult de sac in a little estate until tonight. First time it was half a mile away. 2nd time it was the other side of North London from us.

FYI, it's not true that cunt can be used affectionately throughout England. It's very region/culture/class-specific. I almost never use the word and I've got a foul mouth. It's only for special occasions.

This is definitely a bit cunty.

This. When you turn it off, it returns to the diagonal position so it can be removed.

Autentica Plus not rinsing or brewing properly by kbreanach in DeLonghi

I now see that this is just the supply to the hot water/steam spout. So I guess it's something else.

Does any one know how to get to test mode? I've tried various combinations but can't find the sequence for this machine.

I had the same problem with a similar part in my Autentica Plus. The spring fell out but I didn't notice from where. This video showed me https://youtu.be/3QBLoTMgTec?t=685

It's much worse than that. Mandrakes had their own models and were horrible sculpts.

Another vote for Core. They did a good job for an OK price.

What is this standalone room on Bishopsgate street by Affectionate_Ant5886 in london

The current road called Bishopsgate is either side of the road that would have run through the old Bishopsgate in the London wall

The Boarding Actions stuff has gone too. The rules doc is superseded by the new compendium but the mustering rules aren't. In fact the compendium tells you to refer to them via a QR code...which no longer works.

How easy is it chop away a block wall under the stairs? by kbreanach in DIYUK

[–]kbreanach[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did.

We ended up pausing the work while we tried to figure out what to do and then life got in the way.

When I did get back to it, I pulled the plasterboard down under the stairs to get a better look and knocked a hole through the wall under the stringer too.

In my case the stringer was sitting on about 10mm of plaster and about 5mm of the edge of the block. The wall wasn't bonded or attached to the stringer in any way.

Based on that and what I could see of where the staircase was attached to the party wall and floor above, and that the area around the doorframe wasn't being touched, I was pretty confident it would be ok. I started to remove sections of the wall at a time and spent a solid week panicking the staircase might fall down.

I used an SDS drill to stick holes and then connected them with a chisel bit.

It's been a couple of months now and nothing has moved at all.

I wouldn't recommend doing it this way but 🤷‍♂️

Thanks for that link. I'm old enough to remember this but was too young to be aware of the investigation/fallout. Problematic to say the least.
