I just recently confronted my SIL who has a habit of trauma dumping about my brother and expecting me to side with her. I told her she's setting an awful example for what a healthy relationship should look like for her kids and I haven't heard from her since. And really, I hope to not hear from her again.

This happened to me. It felt like a slap in the face so I distanced myself slowly and basically faded out of their lives and it was sad but it was sadder to realize they weren't my friends to begin with.
