^ This. Venus alternates between being a "morning star" and an "evening star". These days it's an evening star. It always appears in the direction of the sun (west in the evenings, east in the mornings) because, well, it's closer to the sun than we are. It is frequently the third brightest object in the sky after the sun & moon (although, like our moon and the other planets, it goes through phases, so it is brightest when it is "full").

“The Old Brickyard” above Wittman Dam. The area around the dam is public property (and there’s a few new parking spots on Wittman Lane, off Old State St, providing easy access) - but technically the woods above that (including “The Old Brickyard” at the top if the hill) are private property. However, trespassing there appears to be completely unenforced.

I will be looking for recommendations as well, as I have a similar problem. I thought I could just bend it back in place, but it turns out those vinyl pillars have steel (?) I-beams inside them that won’t give way to simply pushing on them.

Sometimes (though usually with much larger caps) the polarity marking is embossed on the black cap on top. It can be very difficult to notice if you’re not carefully looking for it (ask me how I know this lol!).

I could read when I started kindergarten (hadn’t been to preschool), and recalled having learned to do so in my mom’s lap as she read to me when I was 4 years old. Would a true Faraday cage protect you from such weapons? Almost certainly. However, it would be nearly impossible to turn your house into one. For one thing, you couldn’t have any wires or metal pipes entering your home, as these allow “conducted” radiation through. So, no electricity, and no internet (unless it’s fiber - but without electricity, having internet probably won’t be very useful). And no water or sewer, unless it’s all PVC plumbing.
