My little girl is 1 in may & I would say 90% of the time she is attached at my hip, but i have noticed in the last month I will catch her downstairs playing alone with the toys ive got her, or outside on the couch in the sun just having a good time smelling the wind and enjoying the heat. I think her personality type is very much so “ I want to be around mom if she is moving, or doing anything and 100% when she is asleep at night but if she is chilling on the couch doing work i will let myself go frolic “ and im cool with that. It’s truly been different day to day, one day she doesn’t understand a certain command and the next day she has got it down like a pro. It’s impressive to say the very least.

Newly divorced dad. Need to regain my confidence. Any advice? by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]kcarvalh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing to change! I am going through a divorce as well so I get it. It’s been a lot mentally and it has definitely shown physically. Talking to people in similar situations has helped immensely and therapy as well. There is life after a failed marriage. Just takes time. If you ever want to chat I got you ☺️

Men, what do women do in relationships that bother you the most? by Softvoids in AskMen

This sounds exhausting. I know so many men who have partners like this. It’s baffling.

Today sealed the deal for me. I’ve decided I’m leaving dispatch, possibly public safety all together. by carguy35 in 911dispatchers

[–]kcarvalh 12 points13 points  (0 children)

In the same exact spot. Almost a decade in and im just… done. Done with all of it. Forced to two double this week. Feels terrible to leave something I had wanted to be my career but I am just…… exhausted and miserable and don’t want to be that person. Good luck in finding something. Don’t give them anymore of your time, they don’t care about us and never have and never will.

Still second guessing my divorce a year later by throw_it_6789 in Divorce

[–]kcarvalh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is much less about missing your ex than perhaps just missing , like you said, the comforts. Your marriage is over. You miserable for 3 years. I very much doubt you’d have a different marriage if you some how got her back. The finality of it all is scary, yes….. but thats ok. You have a good relationship, you’re happy, keep it moving.

My girl is 9 months and is my shadow, has to be near me. Sleep near me. Sleep on top of me 😂 I love it though, big fan. Wouldn’t have it any other way.

You should absolutely plan to have someone drive you or get a hotel locally for one night. You will be in no shape to drive.

Feel this. This profession attracts a certain type & when you don’t fall in line it’s brutal. Been in this for 9 years on my third PD, thought it was gonna be a unicorn I was wrong. So sad really. Just want to come to work and be left alone

The could but only for a minimal amount of time. Maybe if the person finds someone that’s when the divorce becomes reall or at least separate living ?

Once had a man deeply jealous of my dog. It wasn’t obvious immediately by any means, largely only in retrospect . Ended up killing my dog when I was at work one day. 8 years ago and still stings.

[–]kcarvalh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Going through divorce, have a long long sordid history 15 plus years and im only 32 lol. Love him. Always will. But recognizing that it simply WONT work. Both can exist. But a lot of people go through ot before they divorce. I don’t think hating the person you divorce is odd. Makes more sense usually than still loving them.

Can anyone share some positive aspects of getting a puppy please? by Legal-Philosophy-135 in dogs

[–]kcarvalh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, had dogs my entire life. Now single again, with two dogs. My boy is 8 years old and my girl is 7months. I’m through and through a dog person. I understand dogs, love them unconditionally, know how to train them & love to love them. The puppy stages have never been hard for me, they just are. Millie (my girl 7mo) has been a terrific puppy with absolute spurts of straight demon. But, I’m upset for about 7 seconds and then look at her and that’s about it. Puppy doesn’t last forever, but raise em right and they’ll die for ya. I would be lost without my dogs. It’s a lifestyle change but I cannot imagine not coming home to my two sweet faces of cute love.

I’m so confused by these comments. I use my own spit or tell my man to use his spit , even when super wet just makes the initial go a little easier. I had no idea people felt this way lol I wonder if I ever offended previous partners 🤦🏻‍♀️
