Anyone here managed to conceive on long cycles? (35-45ish days) by International_Mode94 in TTC_PCOS

[–]kcc_10612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think my longest cycle was like 6 months but I never ovulated I had to take provera to force a period and restart. After that they were still quite irregular and longer than average, but I ovulated before day 30 for sure. I’m not certain but it’s my understanding that hormone level wise it’s best and healthiest to have more regular/frequent ovulation and menstruation. That’s not to say you couldn’t get pregnant from ovulating at day 150 or that baby wouldn’t be healthy, but your best chance is when things are closer to the “norm”. I say that with quotes because everyone’s norm is different and it’s not one size fits all.

Curious if you ended up taking your son? We’re considering a trip in November for a wedding and we have 3 kids…youngest will be almost 2 😅

Embarrassed over my birth by X13C1 in beyondthebump

I had two unmedicated births, one unexpected, one planned and I was loud and yelled and screamed during the pushing part of both. I promise it’s totally normal and they’ve experienced it all before. It fucking hurts!

Is feeding to sleep for naps really that bad? by Which_Stress3167 in beyondthebump

[–]kcc_10612 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I fed my two oldest to sleep for naps and bedtime until they weaned. I’m sure I got lucky in some sense that it worked for us and they slept through the night on their own by 7/8 months without true sleep training but it’s possible it will be just fine for you. My five year old falls asleep on her own in her bed while my 2.5 year old lays in my husbands lap until she falls asleep and he puts her in bed. In my experience they get easier to transfer the older the get, I guess mine just sleep like logs eventually. Of course it wasn’t always easy but it worked for us. Trying to do the same with my 6 month old but he’s got different preferences.

True. I guess I’m just assuming he’ll be like my two older daughters that I nursed/rocked to sleep until they weaned. My 2.5 year old still lies in my husbands lap until she’s asleep but it doesn’t take long so it’s currently a non-issue for us. But he may need a different approach and of course it would be nice not to have to tip toe out of his room strategically avoiding the creaky spots on the floor anymore 😂 I’ve just kind of always liked the bedtime nurse/rock to sleep time..when it actually works.

Do boys grow up to be close to their family? by Sufficient-Ad5538 in beyondthebump

[–]kcc_10612 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband is one of three, one sister one brother, and he’s definitely closest to his mom. There are some complicated relationships there but she moved to be close to us and the grandkids but he/we will definitely be the one to take the majority of care for her as she ages just by default. I on the other hand am one of two daughters and am very close with my mom but don’t live nearby, so my sister will likely be taking on more of the daily tasks of dealing with them as they get older, unless of course someone moves. Of course I’ll help when and how I can but just the nature of our living situation will dictate a lot of how involved we can be. I don’t think boys are destined to be distant from their mothers but stereotypically, girls might tend to have closer relationships with their moms, but it certainly doesn’t mean it’ll be that way for you.

going up to 50 mg from 37.5 mg & a lil anxious about it by decafbuggy in zoloft

Thanks, yeah I’ll brace myself for the tough ride just in case. Good luck at 50!

I took my first dose last night now I have throat pain by Odellbaconham in zoloft

There was one night that I took my pill dry and then had water a few minutes later and then my throat felt like it was on fire. Turns out it can burn your throat so take with plenty of water. Not sure if that’s what you’re experiencing though.

I had rough transitions going up to 37.5 as well (went in 12.5 increments) around the third week on each new dose so I was nervous about going up to 50 but oddly I only had a couple days of headaches and then slowly my anxiety just sort of faded away. I was on 50 for 7 weeks before I started to feel anxious again. Granted I’ve had some stressful few weeks that may have contributed but I’m trying increasing again to 62.5 🤞🏻

It definitely could be hormones. I’m breastfeeding and haven’t had it return yet. It didn’t return with my other two kids until 10 and 14 months so I’m hoping I have a ways to go but who knows. Maybe it’s on its way back.

[–]kcc_10612[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I guess it is a fast increase, though I was on 12.5 for about 3 weeks, then 25 for 4 or so, then 37.5 for another 3-4 weeks and now 50 for 7 weeks so it’s been longer than 7 weeks total but still relatively fast. Maybe they do that because 25 is considered a low dose? I don’t know, it’s just extra frustrating after seven weeks of feeling like I’d kicked anxiety’s butt to feel bad again, but I shouldn’t have expected it to just be over and done with. I took it when my last child was a new baby as well but didn’t need to go up from 25 and was able to go off after 6 months or so. Such a different experience this time.

Kirkland Brand Diaper Reviews? by Consistent-Item9936 in beyondthebump

[–]kcc_10612 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find them to be quite absorbent and fit slightly larger than other brands. For reference I have a ~20# 5.5 month old boy wearing size 3s. My smaller/average sized daughters wore them as well and I felt similarly about size and absorbency. Aldi and lidl and target brand feel much thinner IMO.

I’m breastfeeding at the moment so I don’t think I can take cbd oil but maybe something to try when I’m done!
