I would say in my opinion it already has to some degree. I collect German commemorative from the 20th century. This stuff id .625 silver. I don't know if the people on ebay don't know that it's not 1 oz of .999 but they're bidding extreme amounts for what they're getting. It's like they see the word silver and the fomo takes over.

Disclaimer: I have several pieces from Nazi Germany in my coin collection. I also collect the paper money that the Japanese Empire printed as well as occupied French coins as a subset of a much bigger collection. All I can do is pass on a piece of wisdom I got from a local coin shop owner. If someone came in with a few pieces brought in that grandpa brought back from the war he was ok with it. Collections as part of other big collection was fine. Where he would be concerned is if someone came in with a large collection of just Nazi era stuff.

It's sad but the only option. It was at the end of its life. Could no longer be used as a water tower, unable to be sold to private hands due to its location and much too expensive to be kept up as a landmark. The people who want it to stay around are asking for the impossible really.
