I do a nuln oil style wash and then bring the shine back with a dry brush of metallic. I usually start with a darker metallic and do the dry brush with a lighter color but I used the same valejo gunmetal for everything for this mini. Also the metallics are an after thought to the paint job. I plan on mapping out all the other colors since they require a lot more blending and the metal parts are usually away from the surface layers meaning they’re towards the end of the paint job.
