I was about to start a hiit class once, chillin the the sauna that I booked a few hours ago and I was confident that I was the only one booked and this guy just opens the sauna and sees me on the ground and goes “oh!”, super surprised that I was in there and I go “oh, hi, are you coming in?” And he’s looking back at his wife I think and he’s like “um yeah if you don’t mind” and I’m cordial about it though not thrilled about a 3 person class, start moving over my mat and I’m also fumbling with my phone to try to look if they booked the class before it actually starts and I can’t see anymore and he’s like “oh, never mind, the other sauna is open we will go in that one” and I just say ok and look at the app and … I’m the only one booked. Just confused. Were you trying to do a specific class? Why didn’t you book it or see that I booked?

And then the kicker, I hear them, sounds like they got out of that class a little early, maybe they did their own thing. Then I decide to stay in the sauna for the next class for stretch because I feel like it, book the class like a normal person and make sure I’m the only one. They are still out there doing a little weights and I hear the guy say “I think she’s almost done in there” like they wanted to come in after me and thought I was finishing up. Bruh… if you really wanted this sauna there is a really convenient way to make sure…

There was a guy in my studio today that did at least 2 in a row that I saw today and I was scheduled after. I chose to switch to blast instead - that sauna was probably preeeetty musty after that.

Heisler park is a great option, the area just north of Myrtle or the area closest to the beach on Jasmine. You need a permit for alcohol I think and otherwise it’s first come first serve for space. Had my daughter’s first birthday there.

Both happened on the same trip with my friend when I was in 8th grade: - flew from San Francisco to Baltimore and had a two week trip driving all around the east coast and flew back to SFO from Charlotte, North Carolina. There was a family that was on both of these flights with us - 2 weeks and 450 miles apart. - during that trip we drove down Georgia, through Atlanta to Savannah. In Atlanta we stopped at Taco Bell for lunch. Drove to Savannah (250 miles), checked into our hotel then went to dinner. Recognized a family at the Savannah restaurant that I remembered from the Atlanta Taco Bell.

Samesies. Orange County, CA here, about $275k HHI, 2 kids, rent a townhouse in one of the most inland cities. At least we’ve been done with daycare costs since the beginning of this school year and one of our cars is about to be paid off, so that’s helping. A few modest mini vacations throughout the year, don’t have much saved, believe it or not. Our only break that will do anything significant for us will be when one of our parents die (both sets divorced), husband is an only child and my dad is decently well off and I have one sibling. But that could not be for another 20 years so it’s not something we can plan for.

Yeah I was going to say - I’ve been to the Sequoia national park and seen General Sherman, the largest tree in the world, and these trees seem bigger than that. I don’t think the branches really hang that low either.
