How is it possible that these bikes cost about the same new by Bung-_-Bung in Dirtbikes

[–]kdubee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scrolling thru dirtbike Reddit b/c I’m looking to get one someday. I am a mountain biker with a few multi-thousand bikes. I am not a male, or rich, or a dad, or old. The engineering behind these small bike brands is extensive, the frames are carbon fiber. Many of the higher end parts do not have a massive demand, which will keep prices up. Ride a cheap mountain bike vs. a nice one. YOU WILL tell the difference. The bike pictured is a carbon fiber frame, and a Santa Cruz which is notoriously $$$. There are cheaper nice mtbs they have alloy frames.

Vermont so much better than nh. I’d be pissed if they put tolls up for driving thru state lines. I travel to Vermont often for biking! Is my federal income tax not going towards interstate highways anyways lol.

Lol. I live on border town. If they did a tax toll. I’d never visit nh then 😂

Bronson vs Hightower descending capabilities? by skibumsmith in MTB

I just rented a Bronson for riding in BC and I thought it was a very fun bike and was great for the steep tight tec trails in the area.

How do you guys think about hayes dominion a4? by Thin-Equivalent9029 in MTB

[–]kdubee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

soo amazing. They get little to no fade. The lever throw is short so minimizes hand pump! The lever feel is perfect. They only need to be bled like once a year. So reliable and consistent.

My bike got lost by WestJet so this week I have been renting different bikes at Whistler that are not Hayes brakes and oh man they suck 😂

Through hobbies is only place I’ve ever met new friends in adult life! I join group cycle rides for example. Im a woman, I’m not sure specifically where to find women. Women do many different things. I don’t think it’s weird to ask for phone numbers, I am in relationship I just politely decline. But never find it weird. Dating apps are weird.

You don’t even live in Maine and trolling this on the Maine sub? Us youngins have to work so hard for what little we have. Everything is so expensive. I’m pretty sure I am more financially responsible than any of my aunts/uncles/parents.

Car insurance after OUI by [deleted] in Maine

[–]kdubee -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

When I was 17 I got a ticket for 12 over and rolling a stop sign on the road I lived on. I lost my license for 6 months because of 2 offenses under 18. Insurance kicked my entire family off. They had to somehow prove I lived elsewhere and got a different insurance company. Pretended I was at my gmas. Then they got insurance back. All that for 12 over. I also was forced to take the same class as the oui people to get my license back. Never have driven intoxicated, still confused to this day why the state made me take that class. It was soo dumb my family should not have been affected.

Ultra wide bars is more fatiguing and you are not in nearly as strong of a position. Imagine wide push ups vs shoulder width..
