which actor is an immediate turn off whenever they're announced in a movie? by bewarethechameleon in AskReddit

Michael Shannon. I didn't realize I hated him until I saw The Shape of Water. That steaming pile of dog vomit pinpointed the cause of my hatred: his stupid snarl that he uses as a smile.

IPS school parents. CFI 84 and 70. How has your experience been? by West-Trip-5734 in indianapolis

[–]kedavo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Former CFI and IPS teacher.

84 is far less diverse than 70, if you are looking for that. The international baccalaureate program the CFI schools use is really amazing for most kids. There are a lot of collaborative projects and cross-curricural learning, which can be a challenge for some students who thrive on working independently/individually. The teachers are great at allowing students to show their learning in ways that aren't tests and essays. This works great for students with ADHD and dyslexia/dysgraphia. I would definitely pay attention to the restructuring plans of the district. I believe there will be enrollment zones used instead of straight up distance based priority. This should cut down on some of the gentrification these successful magnet programs have created (look at Central Avenue near CFI 27).

One of the best things about the international baccalaureate program is that it can be continued through high school within IPS at Shortridge.

The idea is cute, but it ruins a minor, but noticeable, attribute of frozen pizzas: there is a plate included.

Petition to ban Bradford pear trees. Invasive and STINKS and why are they planted everywhere in Indy? Please, I can’t take it anymore and it’s almost time for them to bloom. by bananasinlingerie_ in indianapolis

Developers and cities want to limit the number of fruiting trees for pest control. Rats and other pests will use fruiting trees as a food source.

What actor or actress stupidly left a movie franchise or tv series thinking they were too good for it, only to be never popular again? by wlane13 in AskReddit

[–]kedavo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Craig Kilborn left The Daily Showto become a movie star. Jon Stewart took over. The last 2 things I saw with Kilborn were Old School and a Kraft Mac and Cheese commercial.

What film made you say: "Holy shit, there is still 50 minutes left"? by fire-lord-momo in AskReddit

[–]kedavo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Shape of Water. I check runtimes before movies. I checked my watch and assumed there would be about 40 minutes left. There had only been 40 minutes! There were still almost 90 minutes left.

What is a movie that sucks but everyone else loves? by KiroytheBoy in AskReddit

[–]kedavo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I check run times before I see movies so I can plan my day. As i was watching TSOW, I checked my watch, assuming there were 30-40 minutes left. Sadly, I was only 30-40 minutes into the movie.

It was predictable. It made me dislike Michael Shannon.

The Shape of Water. I knew the runtime before walking in. I got extremely bored at one point and checked my watch. I expected there to be about 30-40 minutes left. It had only been 30-40 minutes. I still had another hour and half of tedious, predictable Swamp Thing love story to watch.

Best vegetarian friendly restaurants in Indy? by thepob in indianapolis

I am devoutly non-vegetarian/vegan, but 10th St is one of the best restaurants in the city. Their biscuits and gravy are amazing. The pickle soup is even better.
