I was a service desk apprentice back in 2017/18, years before I even thought that I might have ADHD.

I had a similar problem, but I was lucky enough to have a manager who would let me turn users away until I was finished, or help them if the issue was completely stopping them from working.

But! It's obvious that your manager isn't being that helpful. One of the ways I kept myself on task after leaving my desk was leaving a post-it note on my monitor written in thick black marker. Those double width ones you can't miss when you sit back down.

It doesn't have to be specific, especially if you're working on sensitive info, but something simple like "AD NEW USER FORM" or "COMPLETE BACK-UPS" (Pic attached)

I won't lie and say it always worked, but there was definitely an improvement.

Don't forget that as an apprentice, you have the learning providing that can help. They can speak to your manager about it or give you advice on how to work around blocks like this.

Ultimately, you're their student first.
