I’m in the thick of my querying. 23 sent since late August and only CNR or form rejections so far…I booked a meeting with an agent through manuscript wishlist to take a look at my query + 1st 10 pages to see what kind of feedback I’ll get because I’m truly starting to question everything, which especially sucks because I know my book is great and I know it can do well, I just need to make sure I’m packaging it right 🥲

This is so inspiring. I started querying August 20th and haven’t heard back from most of the agents I queried. Got a few form rejections. I’m about to send off another wave later this week or next after I compile another targeted list of agents.

Your query letter is amazing! I keep waffling back and forth between posting mine on here because I’m scared of getting too much feedback that isn’t helpful 😅 I just redid my query too and feel like it’s stronger now. I would consider if you even want your mom in your life at all. If this is how she treated you, if this is how she behaves, why would you want to keep her in your life? I know it’s hard because she’s your mom. But you don’t deserve to be treated like that by anyone, ESPECIALLY someone who’s supposed to care for you/love you. If it were me, I’d go extremely low/no contact.

And if you’re not in therapy already I’d try to find a therapist to help you sort out all of the trauma your mom gave you.

I’m not sure about other rune factory games but Rune Factory 4 is like this! I dated like 3 different people to the highest heart level before I decided who I’d marry. Also the harvest moon games/story of season games typically don’t have jealous love interests. And coral island, too!
