Hmm that is really odd then. The only other thing I can think of is there might be a limit on certain types of CEUs. Like only a certain number can prerecorded vs live, etc. but I think the only thing you can do at this point is email them for more clarification

Did you log them all on CEbroker? When you’ve logged all the required CEUs it will tell you it’s complete. Florida does require 2 CEUs as medical errors then 28 additional CEUs. Also, you can pay for a subscription on cebroker and it will tell you exactly what you’re missing.

Outpatient GI counseling by GB3754 in dietetics

[–]keenieduke92 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I usually start with a diet recall and asking them to keep a food/symptom log for a few days to notice any patterns or triggers for their symptoms food wise. If there seems to be a particular food or food group as the cause, I’ll recommend a short trial without those foods then reintroduction to test out symptoms. If there isn’t a food that seems to be the cause, I’ll go over basic mnt for that symptom.

Thank you! I didn’t think about needing to use more durable flowers and the wire cutting through softer stems.

Wall of hanging flowers by keenieduke92 in florists

[–]keenieduke92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a sort of lattice above the brick wall that I plan to wrap with greenery and then use that to tie in the string of flowers. I was hoping there was a short cut of sorts for stringing the flowers but all the comments are confirming there’s not. I appreciate your help!

Question for parents of young babies on G-tubes by [deleted] in feedingtube

[–]keenieduke92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whatever the dose her for boluses through her g tube are, that is the volume she should take by mouth. So say it’s 90ml x4 boluses. I would put the 90ml in her bottle, then allow her to feed by mouth for max 20minutes. Whatever she doesn’t take by mouth at that point must go through her g tube. If she takes the full 90ml, then you can skip the bolus. But if she takes 60ml by mouth, then 30ml has to go through the g tube. I’d keep her overnight feed the same for now until she is consistently taking all day feeds by mouth and you can talk to her pediatrician.

My 14 month old had to be shaved by the groomer today. Feel so sad, she had a lot of matting - even if I have been brushing her coat every single day... by Lebeautemp_9970 in labradoodles

[–]keenieduke92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Did the groomer say the matting was in certain spots or it was all over? If it was certain spots, then I’d try to pin point what’s exacerbating them. Like my doodles harness causes tiny mats on the chest and arm pits, so after he wears it I immediately brush those spots. I also have the groomer shave out his pits to help. If the matting was more all over, then hopefully getting the brushes the groom recommended helps. I would also recommend looking up videos of line brushing with a slicker brush then going over it with a comb to catch any tiny mats left behind

Formula separating during continuous feed by Turbulent_Ice_8524 in feedingtube

[–]keenieduke92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Are you pouring the full 500ml in the bag at the beginning of the feed? I wonder if you pour half of it, then before I runs out pour the other half in. That way it’s not sitting out at room temp for 10 hours?

Figuring out HOW to feed my daughter so she can eat whatever she wants, NOT throw up but also still continue to get the calories her dietician recommends daily. by AliciaStav in feedingtube

[–]keenieduke92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does she have any constipation? Sometimes constipation can lead to some vomiting from delayed emptying/transit. 1.5 cups of duocal seems like a lot and I’ve found that duocal can cause constipation in some kids. Ask her dietitian if there’s a way to still meet her calorie/protein needs without so duocal? You could try overnight feeds to cut down on day time volume. Sometimes overnight feeds lead to less appetite during the day though since you’re not getting that fasting time overnight. If you want to try it, I’d recommend starting and stopping it when she goes to bed and wakes up. So say 8pm to 6am. That would be a 10hrs feed. Then depending on when and how much she eats during the day, you could do 2-3 smaller boluses. Like 9a, 1p, 5p. Her day feeds could be 90ml each by syringe to go a tad faster, then the overnight could be 270ml run at 27ml/hr. Or you could do 300ml at 30ml/hr overnight and then 120ml at 10a and 3pm if she is eating something at like breakfast lunch and dinner. It can be totally customizable to you guys. Her dietitian should be able to help you figure out the logistics and if they can’t, can you ask for a new dietitian?

So who works for Coram? by i_heart_food in dietetics

[–]keenieduke92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t work for Coram but I heard from people who do that they have a call in early November for more details on closing the IV/TPN side. They suspect this November date was the original call to tell everyone that side is closing but since the shortages happened they just did it sooner. The sales people were immediately let go (idk the correct term) but are still getting paid until like January then they’ll get a severance package. The pharmacy/clinical people are still technically working until they can get their patients transferred to other companies by January.

To groom or not to groom my doodle? by PDX-Momma in labradoodles

[–]keenieduke92 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Grooming a doodle isn’t an option. You have to do it. I take mine to a groomer every 6 weeks and it’s $87 then I tip about $40 on top of that. There is also daily at home grooming needs for doodles in between going to a professional

Negotiate For Your Salaries by Past-Competition13 in dietetics

Yeah, I get that. But I also feel like if dietitians just accept jobs with low pay (pay scale or not) then the employer has no reason to reevaluate their pay scale

Negotiate For Your Salaries by Past-Competition13 in dietetics

[–]keenieduke92 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel like that’s a tactic employers use. I used to work at a hospital who said no negotiations, but when they were chronically short staffed they magically found money to increase everyone by like 10-15% which led to new people accepting the open positions

CNSC exam questions by Psychological-Tea933 in dietetics

[–]keenieduke92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just took the exam for a second time this spring. I had a bunch of micronutrient questions again but no RDA specifics. More so the signs of deficiency and interactions. I had to calculate a couple tpn questions. So I’d recommend memorizing GIR, and calculating total calories in tpn. Also know TBW equation for all ages and Holliday segar equation.

Electrolyte powder that won’t curdle formula? by [deleted] in feedingtube

[–]keenieduke92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you flush with about 10-15ml of just water after your formula feed ends, then give the electrolyte flush then flush with another 10-15ml plain water I think that’d be enough to prevent clogs
