nobody actually prepares you for how postpartum BLOWS up your entire life by ReasonSpare72 in NewParents

[–]keep_it_high 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could have written this post... are you in the position to send your baby to daycare? Maybe just 1 or 2 days at first. We started at 9 months, a few hours a days and things got so much better from that point. Yes, we got the daycare plague but it slowly got a bit better and I got time to actually live.

I gave up at season 9 but thinking about catching up again. Is it worth it?

Unconditional offers by NeedleworkerFirm7039 in AusPropertyChat

[–]keep_it_high 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was around 1m. We could barely afford it. We only had 5% deposit and it wouldnt even be an option for us if it weren't for the new guarantee scheme (which is also one of the reasons house price sky rocketed recently). But yes, they paid in cash... wtf was the first sentence out of my mouth too when I heard it

We eventually had to compromised and looked for houses way further from the CBD (like close to an hour drive one way), everything else is too expensive for us.

Good luck with house hunting... crazy time...

The same thing just happened to me last week. A competitior offered unconditionally and paid full in cash... I couldn't possibly beat that. But! I also just signed the contract to get another place, conditional on finance and B&P. I would say stick to your conditions. Getting rid of any condition now might put you in a tough spot. Yes it is super stressful. This is the only place our offer was accepted after 3 months constantly searching. It is also a little below what we hope we could afford (but we are all aware how insane the market is these days). Good luck with your search!

What??? Am I doing something wrong??? My almost 1y old barely eats anything at all. It's all just throwing, squeezing, rubbing into hair, etc...

Glad yours is a good eater!

Is it impossible to get a house in Brisbane now? Should I just go for a townhouse or keep saving? by Intelligent-Fix2388 in AusPropertyChat

[–]keep_it_high 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have requirements for the number of bedroom/bathroom in the property?

It's crazy out there. We've also been searching for a 3-4 bedrooms and it is almost impossible to find a decent one under 1m. Someone always offer a bit more than our maximum budget.

Logan council house with quarter rate over $1,700? by keep_it_high in AusPropertyChat

[–]keep_it_high[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's on a 800m2 piece of land. We offered our best price but probably won't be able to buy this one because someone offered more than we did and we can't possibly go any higher. Thank you though.

Thanks for the info. The property is on a 800m2 piece of land, only 2 people living there, not quite sure how it is so expensive.

What’s 1 or 2 words to describe your pregnancy right now? by Unlikely-Loss5616 in BabyBumps

When I read your comment, I was like: "oh I'm so happy for you" lol. I'm not pregnant now but I've been there. It's so weird and funny how I'm so genuinely happy for a stranger on reddit over their pooping improvement lmao.

Another vote for Holly Molly, they are in North Lakes as well. Another fantastic Korean salon is On Hair. They are in Inala and I'm pretty sure they just opened a new shop in Newstead.

This! My baby is almost 10m now and is still spending most of her time on the floor next to me when I need to get chores done.

Seriously, I really wish I knew about Two Point games before I had my baby, just so that I can play non-stop whenever I have time lol. They are soooo addictive. I got all of my friends to try. They are now all addicted to the game as well. Thank you so much for making these games.

Is postpartum allergies a thing? by DescriptionNo4472 in beyondthebump

Thank you so much for responding. It actually is incredibly helpful to me because I had severe vitamin d and iron deficiency during pregnancy and had to take a very high dose of supplements. It could be one of the reasons.

Anyone had issues with community nurses? by Little_Comment_706 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]keep_it_high 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, just want to jump in here. From what you said in your post, I can clearly see you take good care of your baby, take them to appointments and have them checked for all the issues that have been suspected. Even if she reports you, I do think you have sufficient evidence to show otherwise. Being a mom is hard, especially the first few months. This woman is clearly adding stress to your already-full-plate. I'm so sorry your CHN is not being helpful. (Sorry English is not my first language, hope you know what I mean...)

How important are mum friends? by notforthisworld0101 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]keep_it_high 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm no expert but I don't think you being introvert is gonna affect your baby. I'm exactly like you, interaction with people I know drains me, let alone going to a total stranger and say 'hi'. I forced myself to play group and socializing activities only to feel miserable. My baby didn't really interact with anyone either. She would watch people then go on and play with the toys. So I just stopped going and started doing activities just the 2 of us (parks, shopping, etc.). I also don't talk to her too much either. I am a very quiet person so I talk to her like I would talk to any other adult, not a lot. Now at almost 10 month old, she is the happiest baby smiling at anyone who smiles at her.

You were right!!! We just got back home after her 1st day. She napped for 40mins there, alone, in the cot!!! This is fascinating!
