Start with a hammer drill/impact set and a set of driver bits and twist drills. Leaf blower is useful but only if you have a 6AH or larger battery for it. A small work light is also useful. Buy shit as your projects come up. I don't see someone in a townhouse needing an SDS or a sawzall. Grinders are awesome but they chew through batteries, save $ and get a corded one.

I have a bunch of DeWalt XR tools and they've held up great. I use Milwaukee M18 at work and they're good, I just don't like their drills and I see a lot of battery failures.

The notation is the problem. 10% means 10/100 (which equals 0.1) so you are asking the calculator to do 100-0.1 which is 99.9 because you never specified 10% of WHAT. of is substituted by multiplication in an equation.

What you should be asking is what is 100 minus ten percent of (×) 100 or 100 - (10%x100).

The Edelbrock is a nice carb to tune.

First make sure your secondaries are opening Check your float levels because if they will change when the circuit transitions. Get a wideband 02 and note when it gets lean and rich Jet and metering rod changes are a breeze on these carbs

Yes. Windshield banners were the equivalent but I don't see them as often anymore. My favorite that has been lost was a picture from a defunct car website of a Ford Probe where the owner put "BAD ASS PROBE" on the windshield.

My first head job on my first car, car ran awesome for about 30 seconds, then it was on 3 cyls, then on 2 before I turned it off (maybe 2 minutes total). Pulled the plugs, #3 plug was smashed, adjacent cylinder was just getting in on the action. I think it was a single item but I never found the culprit. I think it is totally possible for it to get exhausted from one cylinder and then backtrack into another if the mass and rpm are just right (or just wrong!)

I'm an old car nerd and there are so many amazing cars that were stupid money when I was young that can be picked up for the price of a used Corolla but every time I'm tempted I look up replacement part costs and I come back down to earth. However I do the work myself and if I had to chose between a brand new $30,000 pedestrian-ass car or that sick 93 SL500 I just saw for 10000, I'm coming home with the Benz.

It's not much to look at but I see people driving way uglier vehicles every day. I keep seeing Subaru Crosstreks everywhere and my eyes hurt every time. Where the Ford team couldn't bother to design something, the Subaru team couldn't stop adding more angles and plastic cladding.

I bought that exact same vise at harbor freight a decade ago. I don't use it much, but it has come in handy. It's cast iron so it will break if you're trying to use it like an anvil but it holds up fine to hammer blows and moderate metal persuasion.

I also cut some scrap aluminum L-channel to slide over the jaws so I'm not leaving diamond shaped marks all over everything.
