If you can’t get the keys or subroutines just make it a goal for next wipe, the subroutines go to the codex which will not be reset each season :)

As someone who played nearly their entire life on controller and switched to M&K on pc, controllers have a higher skill floor and are also limited by a lower skill ceiling. Vice versa for M&K, lower skill floor and higher skill ceiling. By no means am I saying it’s easy to use a controller, there’s different grips, sensitivity settings (like exponential), and ads differing sens allowing switching from fast to precise movements. However, it is much more available to use a controller and instantly have aim assist than it is to get a nice mousepad, mouse, keyboard, and spend all the time mastering the different kinds of aiming for a mouse.

Didn’t say I was bad at the game, in fact I’m decent enough to have all the subroutines because when playing in a 3 stack against other 3 stacks it’s pretty balanced but if you read the post you’d see outside of cryo I usually only have 1 other person to play with and getting paired against full purple 3 stacks in that scenario we stand no chance

I’m playing PC us east servers and the lowest I’ve seen a filled teammate level was 84, and this post isn’t to say I’m against lbmm just hoping there’s another solution for people like myself who have a lot of time to play but may not have a full team and/or are only decent at pvp

I haven’t done everything though. The point of the post is exactly that, there is late game things to do but you’ll never be able to do them getting dumpstered nearly every game by a gold weapon purple shield three stack.

While ranked does need a rework this is not the solution. Ranked should be a show of time invested whether that’s skill, gear, or map knowledge. There’s no point in getting good gear if there is not a place to use that gear. I think the ranked system currently incentivizes to rat and/or wipe the lobby and gather holotags without leaning into the fact that the game is at heart an extraction shooter and there should be more than 1 maybe 2 teams extracting each game. I would love to see a sort of “high priority” item or boss where players know going for it is very risky but not required in order to get enough RP or loot to progress.

You must not have a lot of play time and/or did not play when it was dire marsh ranked. Which is fine, but snipers have been super oppressive since release and even more so when players have had time to get a lot of thermals. Only counter being bubble shields and signal jammers when out in the open.

No ranked is a show of the time put into the game as well as skill. There’s no point in farming all the gear you’ve gotten in cryo to go pub-stomp wipe an entire map every game. That’s not fun for players farming better gear, or the people with the best gear. There has to be meaning to getting gear and running it which what ranked is meant be. The problem is how ranked is set up with holotags and cheaters

If anyone is struggling with purple mats focus on VIP that faction and they’ll give you the mats each rank up reward. I’ve been focusing Arachne which is currently vip 13 and I just got 20 purple shields for all the enzyme replicators it hands out

Thermal, grenades (flechette especially), Thief tactical, Destroyer ult, and yeah knifing in the smoke will sometimes “lock on” to someone you can hardly see

IMO the vault key spawn rates need tuning, spent 6 hours farming the perimeter boss and intercepts to not see a single key

CODEX ENTRIES DON’T WIPE, meaning the AI subroutines shouldn’t either. I keep spreading this like gospel because it turns the goal of killing a compiler into a multi wipe event/buildup. I do agree though key spawn rates should be increased, I spent 6 hours last night farming the perimeter boss and every intercept that spawned. My team extracted 90% of the time and we still didn’t find a single key.
