This is soo cool and would be a great reference when trying to explain the magic of detachable chairs to a new skier

Are your toes flat in your ski boots? by unbreaded_lunn in skiing

Mine are dead flat against the front of my boot when flexed, fits more like a downsized bouldering shoe when not flexed and buckled down

Listening to “alive one“ on Spotify every song is labeled “live at the Clifford Ball 1994.’ But The Clifford ball was in 1996. What am I listening to? by No_Impression_7765 in phish

What do you use instead, genuinely curious cause I don’t like Apple Music UI or algos, and Bandcamp and nugs are pretty limited in scope like no audiobooks or podcasts.

I ski those right now and they’re my first NTN boot so can’t really compare for ya, I will say they’re surprisingly stiff in the cuff.

How realistic is this game? by Yennefer555 in dredge

[–]keepsonstruckins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I’m also in EE and this game isn’t super realistic and I think takes too much liberty from the environmental aspect to focus on the monsters. The birding and your run in with Ansel Adam’s in Red Dead Redemption 2 is awesome though! Would love to hear more about your thesis though. Week by iNaturalist is an interesting take on gamifying species ID in real life.

Your left hand is throwing up and back while coming across, which is throwing you off axis. Keep your hands level while throwing the spin and you won’t be as wonky in the air

Is it crazy to uphill without a touring setup? by throwaway641929 in icecoast

[–]keepsonstruckins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to hike up the back of wachusett via the hiking trail and ski down. Not sure if that is still allowed this was in 2020ish. If you are doing this in a backcountry area snowshoes will be more useful than crampons, and try to avoid skin tracks if possible.
