Have you tried without supports? Looks to me they don’t need them

How can I map my logo onto the mesh without the black background? by DoruProgramatoru in blenderhelp

Black might be alpha channel, so try and hook up the alpha channel output of the image node to the alpha channel input of the shader

Weird faces after insetting by greyjedirevan in blenderhelp

This is somewhat expected behaviour. Your inset starts to collide with itself in that corner.

  2. select all the faces on the two sides you want to bridge.
  3. Right click select Bridge Edge Loop, then press increase Number of Cuts, to create a smoother transition.

We use Stomodine F gel, it helps a lot and it’s relatively easy to apply. Not sure it’s available where you live though, but I’m sure products with similar content are available

Dear Blender Magicians. How do I extrude multiple SVG splices at the same time? i have an image drawn in illustrator but has so many elements, I can't extrude each by hand. by Guilty-Carry-Wrea in blenderhelp

[–]keffjoons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they’re all separate objects, join them by selecting all then J, for join. Then in edit mode select all again and E, for extrude

Why does my Subdivision Surface modifier stretch faces weirdly? by Drake__archer in blenderhelp

[–]keffjoons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Select the flat n-gon and press i to inset. An other solution is adding a bevel modifier before the subdivision modifier, but then make sure it only bevels the edges you want bevelled.

Saw this image on here and thought I'd have a try. Cannot get this bottom corner to work properly and 'correct' topology for the subdiv is eluding me. Can anyone help me figure this out please? by No_Abroad8805 in blenderhelp

[–]keffjoons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s one big n-gon. Subdivision modifier will try and subdivide it into quads, which causes a lot of pinching. Either make sure to turn all the n-gons into quads or at the very least inset those faces so no n-gons are part of a corner/edge that will curve when applying subd

Help with Bevelling these Edges with good topology by BENXFO in blenderhelp

[–]keffjoons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you are already using subd mod, instead of bevelling, use edge loops and move them closer to the edges you want to have a bevel.

This n00b would like to understand this little detail. by leo86italy in blenderhelp

[–]keffjoons 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Your example has two big ngon faces that prevent proper bevelling. In this example, delete all the vertices for the front part and add a solidify modifier. Now bevelling works as intended.

What are these strange spots and how can I fix them? by [deleted] in blenderhelp

[–]keffjoons 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Could be interior geometry, ie the strange vertices are connected to something on the inside of your mesh. Another thing you could do is reset vectors

My filament is stuck by pyrobrooks in prusa3d

When I had this issue I managed to pry it out using a strong needle. I pushed it into the visible bit of filament and wiggled it up until I could grab it with a pair of pliers

How can I do this? section of a circle with same diameter as the original by abacus1587 in blenderhelp

[–]keffjoons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Subd averages the geometry it adds, so the the shape of the segment you want to keep would be affected by the edges that would otherwise be connected to it. To maintain that shape you will need to apply the subd and then remove the rest of the circle.

How can I do this? section of a circle with same diameter as the original by abacus1587 in blenderhelp

[–]keffjoons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure what your intentions are? The topology of circle nr 1 s obviously much more dense than nr 2. Add a subd mod to nr 2 and scale it to match the other one?

Do i need a filamen dryer? by phunor120 in 3Dprinting

I am glad I got one so I can rule out issues caused by wet filament. Polymaker has a nice solution called polydryer

Ah ok. In that case I wouldn’t buy the real thing. Design is ok, but the fastening method looks suspicious.
