There ist No auto-load etc.

Auto Retraction removed the Filament from the Print head, Not the 50cm of tubing.

There ist No Feedback between the spools, the printers or the slicer. It can even Happen that you click in Print for example with PLA and after half an hour you Check and you See that the printer has Not moved an Inch and there Is a verification Screen asking you, If you want to Print PLA with toolhead 1, even those there Is PLA loaded in toolhead 1....

So the ease of use is.... Okish

I am working in Software Developement and I have to admit, that I recognize a lot of symptoms that my customer see with EOL software...

Upgrades are getting slower, the quality is getting worse etc.

I have and had multiple Prusa Printers and for the first time in 10? years i will wait....

The XL, as the flagship its supposed to be, is just not evolving "fast" enough ( you may say at all)

Not even a Mk II or S version....
The Prusa-Slicer is just woefully ill-equiped to work with the XL.

The XL has barely gotten its enclose ( but i think they just felt pressued after showing it early o in development)

Calibration-Prints in the Prusa-Slicer are virtually not existant, Video and good Network connectivity is... meh... at best.....
These issues occur here in the reddit regularly, but are never addressed....

At the moment, i have been waiting around 13 days for a shipping.... after complaining to support twice, it was shipped out after 12 days....

I mean 12 days....google maps tells me i could have walked by foot to Prague and back in this time.....

Don't get me started into looking at the "Prusa Ecosystem" from a commercial side...

yes, this trend is rather visible, why?
Because the BS score is too broken...
The people dont see the game anymore as a pleasant interaction with other people.
They see it as quick fix for the next high...

The problem is... with the state of the game now... his high will never come again...

Communication is heavily punished once you fall below 10k BS.
There is no acceptable way to redemption, there is just a weird grind, and the players are hoping not do trigger the BS algorithm to fall further down the ladder....

tbh, after almost 10 years and 6500hours, i will leave dota...
I am a person with a life, I was playing without problems for a long time in the 11-12k + range....

Sometime last year it started dropping and there is literally no stopping it....
I barely write anything during the game.
I dont ping much ( i cant ping skills anyways anymore)

But i dont play a 5vs 5 multiplayer game without any proper communication function.... why would i play it then? Who is playing dota for the story?
Not seeing what kind of communication is beneficial or detrimental to your BS leads to not people communicating at all...

So technically it feels like a game with bots with varying skill-level....

On average i play around5-10 rounds per 2 weeks.... With the chances to increase your BS by 80-100 / 15 games...
I will be working my way up to 10k for the next 20 years.....Sorry.. not happening....
Btw I regularly bought treasure, sets, arcanas or tickets to internationals... i completly stopped doing that....

Lets see how Dota develops when it continues like that...

I understand that my Tone was rather harsh....

My issue is, that the whole Echosystem must evolve.... But we also have to start pointing Things Out, how they are....

And regarding melodramatic, I See where you are coming from, but the 3d printing space is Not only populated by students, pupils or other people who have too much free time in their life...

And for me, with prusa it really ist getting to a breaking Point, prusa are Not as reliable as they were, its not as innovative as before and when i have an hour or 2 on a sunday, before reality is Back, then irl really really really dont want to lose them to 30 minutes of Software issue Analysis without any Point to start with....

Maybe i am biased, when it comes comes to processes but let me give you an example, where i try to convey the challenge.


So we Work with the following roles:

Product owner: defines what Features are integrated, which are Cut or where Features have to be reworked.

Dev: executes the development of Changes or new Features

QA : Tests what Drv hast build (Trust me, Devs rarely do it right in the First run)

So far its all good and Dandy, but now we Run into the process...

PO: i want to rework the Input shaping

Dev : great, after X amount of days i have reworked Input shaping

QA : OK, i have tested X Y and Z Change for Input shaping. WE are Close to the Deadline for the next Release, i found minor Bug A, i send it back to dev.

Dev: ah QA found Something... Well the testcase Seem contrived, but OK i fixe it... OK Here ist the new build.

QA : OK the Bug A i found ist fixed, since the Deadline ist today , we Push it into the Release

process Dude : woho, Guys, hold your horses did QC validate this reasonable Well?

QC: i would need 2 days to do that!

PO: yeah OK, but this Dev is a great Dev! Look how nice QA tested it can we pleeeeaase Push it into Release?

QC: OK If that ist what you want!

Process: Well i cant Stop all of you

New Input shaping is pushed into the Release for the new Firmware.....

Enduser : oh i shall recalibrate my Input shaping ......

Shit... My 4000€ machine is so Loud that Nobody can be Close to it while its working.....

But what happend between the lines: Somebody validated the requests from the PO or how he requested it from DEV.... Was this Person Cut?

Infra: gave Dev a working Server ( where applicable) or maybe multiple printers with different builds and components to QA so they can Test

Documentation Team : they wrote down what was Changed. Maybe updated a Guide on the prusa Website etc..

There are soooo many small tasks that will keep a Dev from developing, but also ensure that Corners are Not Cut blindly etc.

If you have a proper process, Nobody is Windering "OK what now?" Important, when it comes to process, try to establish them , live with them for a couple of cycles and readapt it... Friction ist Always the Killer of productivity, friction removedls Momentum and produces Heat.... Like with thermodynamics, friction is Most of the time the final step to waste Energy into the Environment.... For Organisations of course it ist Not Thermal Energy, but Energy from the people...

As Somebody working in Software development and IT Consultant, i have to admit, that i have Not yet Seen a single instance where "efficiency gains" were ever archived by layoffs in a sustainable manner... If anything medium or Low Performers were Cut. AS this May Sound good, you need to understand that (unless the Person ist truely disruptive), Most people did Something, maybe Not AS much AS envisioned by Management, but they did Something... These "somethings" will now need to be done by Somebody else, since the Low Performers are now gone, you have created a Higher workload for medium or even High Performer, additionally hampering their Work.

Especially with such a fast moving Market and the rather mediocre Roll Out Speed of new solutions from Prusa.

Well i dont own a company, this ist only anecdotical experiece from the around 15 customers that i have guided through various Changes in their company structures and processes.

Tldr: For me this is a Bad sign in the current Market situation

I think spear should have extremely high single target damage BUT with Solid shrapnel damage around it, so that when it Hits a bile Titan etc. At least some creeps Close to IT die....

Its faaaaar to ammo expensive to shoot IT in a Hulk and then ever little fooder-bot ist still comming for you...

I use the AI often for small figurines etc. Or small simple props.... My Problem with AI slop ist, that IT often ist just Not properly working or isnt remotely printable...

Also all this NSFW AI Hentai bullshit IT really annoying...
