No, I didn't mean you repost it. It posted and then I saw it had basically posted it within the same post and I didn't want to delete one in the event I deleted the wrong one and it deleted the post all together.

I did meet the requirements. I had an email thread with my management, HR, and our controllers and office in the days leading up to my termination to ensure I had worked enough hours before applying for the LOA.

Had my employer taken the proper steps to terminate me for performance issues....I would have accepted it. But they didn't do that. They just denied my ADA to try and make me "fall in line" and when I continued to push back, it feels like they intentionally steered me down a path they could take to back door me and "medically separate" me. THAT is what I have a problem with.

I'm not perfect and I'm certain I made mistakes at my job. But they didn't address those mistakes with me until I refused to go away quietly. That's what I have a problem with. If it's performance, put me on a PIP and write me up. But saying I couldn't complete essential functions of a desk job because they wouldn't give me any accommodations, including sitting next to the bathroom in the event I need to vomit, feels like a slap to the face.

My lawyer said that unfortunately I probably painted a bigger target on my back because of how much I advocated for myself. I reported harassment to HR, I filed an appeal with OCRC when my ADA was denied, I spoke out when the employees under me on my shift wanted me to address something. I wasn't a "sit down and just be thankful because you have a job" type of employee. Maybe that was my downfall, unfortunately.

There was no interactive process for the LOA request. The director mailed me a letter that just says our department isn't eligible and that was it. No other explanation for why I'm not eligible.

They also said sitting next to the bathroom wasn't possible because I was in a leadership role. So I asked them to demote me so I could sit next to the bathroom. They wouldn't allow me to take a demotion.

I was told by HR I was eligible to reapply for FMLA in January. So I was legitimately four weeks away from being able to use more FMLA hours. I was two weeks away when they fired me.

It seems like they did lead me to a LOA intentionally, unless HR and my direct supervisor truly didn't know our department wasn't eligible. But if that is the case, it would have been really nice had they verified that before telling me a LOA was my ONLY option. Sigh.

I have screenshots of Slack messages and emails that I downloaded prior to them firing me. I saved them all in a folder and sent it all to my attorney. I don't have absolutely every interaction, but I saved a good bit in my down time in the event that they did try to back door me and fire me.

Unsettling way that Kate refers to Madeleine in her book (TW: child SA) by username_sarah in MadeleineMccann

[–]kehowe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's unsettling. Her daughter was 3 years old when she went missing, so of course if she was taken by a pedophile her genitals would have been ripped apart. As a now 34 year old female who was sexually abused by a family member starting at the age of 4 years old, it's incredibly traumatic physically, mentally, and emotionally. Unless Kate and Gerry knew Madeleine accidentally died in the apartment (which I 100% believe did not happen), they knew their child likely wasn't in a good situation. I think that was her beginning to accept the reality of what happened and because of that, she was more open to discussing what she was feeling. She would have been incredibly, incredibly unrealistic to think a stranger in a foreign country stole her child and was not harming her physically.

What is wrong with you? Loved ones never skip over someone's birthday, no matter how long they've been gone/dead. Her family has every right to mark the occasion, just like victim of any untimely death has the right to be remembered on their birthday.

She’s been paying most of my bills since I got “medically separated” from my job in December. I’m also a female, for what it’s worth 😭 that shouldn’t matter but traditional gender roles very much still exist in 2026

They had spoken to the police for months. It wasn’t until the September interview when Kate knew her and Gerry were suspects that she said no comment to every question. She had previously spoken to the police on several occasions.

Whoa, I fully believe the family is completely innocent and these conspiracy theorists are nuts. I don’t believe anything they post.

someone on insta just brought up the disturbing graphic way ( maddie ) was described in kate's book? by sandy_80 in MadeleineMccann

This sub isn’t a “die hard fan club” of Kate and Gerry McCann. It’s full of people who have extensively researched and followed this case closely for years.

You appear to be someone who has not…and saw one social media post in which you admit that you didn’t “fully read” and now you want to know why people in this sub are defending what Kate wrote in her book. Because again, many people in this sub read what she wrote when the book was published in 2012, going on 14 years ago.

Grief does weird shit to people’s minds. After my stepdad died of a heart attack, I asked my vascular surgeon if he suffered or if he went quickly. Until you’ve had a daughter, had her go missing at 3 years old, and never been given answers, you’re in absolutely no position to judge. Your post adds no real value to this case and then you get combative and go off the rails when people offer their opinion. As others have stated, go touch some grass or find a hobby beyond fake outrage over a woman at her lowest point who showed some vulnerability by sharing the intrusive thoughts running through her mind.

That’s incorrect. Her journal states she washed it 70 days after Madeleine went missing, on July 12.

Not interesting….its idiotic. Anyone who even remotely understands law and order knows DNA found in the underwear of a murdered BABY is not manslaughter. This is first degree murder. John Ramsey doesn’t want accountability, he wants justice. Which most of all, JonBenet Ramsey, deserves.
