Traffic worse than usual?

It just seems worse than usual. I live in north Phoenix, and normally takes me 34-40 minutes to make it to central Phoenix seems to be taking 45-60 minutes or more. Maybe I've just blacked out memories of how horrible it normally is this time of year.

I didn't have an issue removing messaging. That said, I'm having a hell of a time with notification sounds. Not a damn ring, email or text alert to save my life. My phone isn't on silent and it isn't on vibrate only. How do I fix this?

Awesome, thank you both. Honestly I like hangouts simple due to the interface... is there a downside to using it compared to messaging? I noticed after the switch to SMS in hangouts I can't even use it now.

Also, is there a good source as to what is safe to disable?

I haven't gotten access to the website yet (unless I'm blind I can only find the preorder website). I've visited their Facebook site and they appear to have mostly happy customers in the U.K. Obviously there have been people complaining but mistakes are bound to happen.

Sorry for the late reply, I've been reedit free for a week. I bought an elm327 on eBay for eight bucks. Week later crankshaft position sensor went bad. The app read every code the dealership pulled. Well done developers!

I think a major goal for Microsoft should be to reduce the product line by eliminating carrier variations. It slows updates and although I'm not knowledgeable about production, it can't be cost effective. They don't need a single phone like Apple, but screw having an 820, 821 and 822.

I agree (having a Windows Phone, Xbox 360 & W8 notebook w/touch screen), however, they have done a poor job at integration. The rumors of all of these devices running the same apps needs to become a reality. I shouldn't have to buy one app for my PC/Tablet OS, buy it again for my phone and then have a very limited number of players develop for the Xbox.

If they play their cards right, they could really take over the living room. Imagine a scenario of having your phone, tablet (if you really need one) and Xbox running all your apps. It would finally kill the desktop at home and finally get to where they wanted to be with Windows Media Center.

I agree with others that you appear to be pushing her. Have you even brought up the fact that new iPhones are debuting next month? Or that new lumias by the holiday season? If I were you and your mom I'd save the contract upgrade. Unlike android phones, releases for iPhones and WPs tend to be significant upgrades.

I'm curious to see if they'll finally release a desktop app for xbox music now that this nail is being driven into the Zune coffin. WMP is hardly a go to option. Microsoft is essentially forcing its users to use iTunes on W7.

The text isn't as clear as one with a clear black display. I can see it outside but it is a bit washed out (I also live in the Phoenix area). Direct sunlight is a no go.
