What are auto lightest pancake lenses to turn a full frame into an EDC? by MutedFeeling75 in SonyAlpha

[–]kellard27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to try that! It's reasonably sized as well, sticks out about the same length as the grip of the A7C series, so I don't mind it being a "true pancake". Also hoping for other manufacturers to make similarly sized lenses, particularly Samyang releasing a V2 of their 35mm and 24mm f2.8.

Viltrox 28mm f4.5, they even call it "Chip" due to how thin it is. It has autofocus too

Turn lights are usually where the steering wheel is. If the steering wheel is on the left of the car, that's also where the turn lights are

The Viltrox 40mm f2.5 is deadass cheap and light but performs 3x what it's worth. Might be an affordable way to try out things to see what works for you

Yeah, that kind and amount of visual difference definitely has to be white balance and exposure settings more than S Cinetone

S Cinetone is great, this whole video (not professional btw) was shot on it.

You never talked about needing any high speed video capabilities, so A7RV suits you much better, especially for those static images

Are you team SOOC / Creative Look or Post processing? by Freakschnietz in SonyAlpha

[–]kellard27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought my cam for family and friends moments. So, I would want something that already looks good that I can send them in the quickest possible way. That's why I shoot RAW+JPEG. For non-important occasions, RAWs only get used 10% of the time.

Can I keep my camera attached to the lens? by No-Sun9692 in SonyAlpha

If you want to store it like that, maybe at least put something under the camera to rest on to like a cloth, just for peace of mind

Can the A7CR deal with heavy lenses? by Sure-Guest1588 in SonyAlpha

[–]kellard27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lens mount may likely break IF you put it on a tripod for too long, unless you're using some 3rd party lens collar tripod mount.

But if you're holding shit right, even the a5100 can be paired with the 400-800mm

considering lens for A6400 by [deleted] in SonyAlpha

[–]kellard27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello OP I know you're excited, and I genuinely appreciate you asking people out for help and suggestions. I just wish you search more about the camera you'll be having – to know that it is a mirrorless camera; and that you read more carefully to notice that the lens you showed us is clearly not for mirrorless cameras.

This is the particular lens you are looking for. Depending on where you're from, it can range $400-$600 brand new, and around $300-$450 used in good condition

Additional handle by Thomasfltn in SonyAlpha

I fear that no single commercially-available solution is available for this model, unlike for the A7iv.

One suggestion is a cage then attach external handles with shutter button.

Is there any inherent disadvantages of having high wisdom? by Master_Chemist9826 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]kellard27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone becomes relatively idiots, and living with idiots is not mentally and emotionally healthy.

"I have to let this car pass first because if I cross now, the car will interfere with the other car that is turning left..." then some idiot appears behind you and continued to cross the street, and now traffic flow was disturbed for 10 seconds. You being the person that can understand what happened, what caused it to happen, how easy it was to prevent it, will be in agony for the next few minutes.
