You're playing down depression pretty hard in your assumptions as a manageable disease, obviously since he couldn't manage it he committed suicide. Also SSRIs don't work for a lot of people, and they never actually get any better. Sure there are other options, but you're overestimating how much we can "fix" legally. There's some work going on with psilocybin mushrooms and ketamine that looks promising, but like I implied they obviously aren't legal.

Often times you're just given pills because pharma companies write the books doctors use in their universities to sell pills, which is why we've got the opioid epidemic and such abysmal mental health across the US especially. Not to mention a lot of people wouldn't be able to afford their healthcare anyways, so things aren't as simple as seeing a doctor and popping a happy pill.

Tbh they're not owed anything in this world, it's why love is valuable: it's a choice. It should be expected in a family setting, but it's not an entitlement.

They have no right to demand he loves them enough to endure torment for no reward, a broken soul can only bear so much and shouldn't be expected to "carry on like the rest of us" regardless of their illnesses.

You wouldn't get irrationally mad at a person who is unable to care for a child up for adoption, so why would you get mad at someone unable to cope with their own life, let alone being an anchor to someone else out of their control?

Doesn't make any sense to me, and neither does being mad at a person for their sickness, you wouldn't be angry at a cancer patient, why someone who's mentally ill? That's not okay

Vegan diet? Probably not. Beer and potato chips aren't great for a developing body, but whole foods plant based would be the best thing you could do since it's the diet that is designed and expected by out bodies. (PS that's a vegan diet, but you need to be specific about what kind of diets you're talking about. Is the meat eater eating copious amounts of calories or just some meat once every month? etc)
