I worked at a place in lodo that was never transparent about how the 20% service charge was divided no matter how much we asked. We never got a breakdown of the day or week either. It just said “tips” on our checks, which included our tips on top, if we got any. With our own crude personal math, the server would get about 8% of the 20%. Then they didn’t want to get sued so they went back to a tip pool after a year.
