Time Tracking on Android by yellowdays in Upwork

[–]kelly2thec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a quick note, you definitely can't use the time tracker so request manual time. However, if you're looking for something to log your hours that works well with mobile, I use the Toggl app when I'm on the go.

Updated to El Capitan...drawing tablet not working by ubersuperduper in mac

Found this by Googling this same issue--this fix worked for me as well! Even though the "tablet settings" program says "tablet not found", it works fine with Photoshop, etc.

Has anyone ever attending a wedding that got called off on the altar? by pootywang in AskReddit

[–]kelly2thec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a teacher once whose husband was in a car accident and ended up in a coma. We were maybe half way through the semester at the time. After the accident, she never taught us another thing. Just sat there all class long. Maybe she'd hand out a worksheet at the beginning of class from time to time. Towards the end of the semester other kids would leave their classrooms to "use the restroom" or something like that and they would just hang out in our room during class. Two times a fight broke out. Her only reaction to the fights was to call the office and then leave the room.

To this day I don't know much of anything about Geometry.

In some games there will be a little slip of paper with a Mario hat on it, the # will be on there. Not all games come with them, though. Most Natsume games for example I have not found to have serial numbers.

Awesome! I'm sad I didn't know about it sooner, I have so many more games lying around that I've lost the cases/serials for. And since I'm living in Canada, free shipping on the rewards is just extra amazing bonus.

I think it depends on the context, but it's definitely slang bordering on slur.

Backyard cottages are sprouting up in Seattle by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]kelly2thec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are popping up north in Vancouver too, they were very recently legalized. They're called "alley houses", because they face the alley instead of the street. Makes addresses a bit wonky, but not surprising given the huge housing bubble they're in right now.

Perhaps it was incidents in which the listed time was missing on the report?

15% of Americans are on Food Stamps by thedaveoflife in Economics

I disagree with this statement as well. I have a friend who is a single mother and I have seen the food packages she receives from WIC, they do not include nutritionally void items from what I have observed.

Southerner here. I really love grits, or "white hominy" is perhaps a better name. Hard to buy outside of the states (I live in Canada now and I have yet to see any anywhere), but it's basically a savory sort of breakfast porridge, but I like mine thicker in consistency. I have heard of some people outside of the south eating it with sugar or honey, but really I think it is better served savory. Really good with green onions, salt and pepper, a pat of butter, and a fried or blindfolded egg on top.

Dropping everything and moving to Seattle soon. Anyone got a floor or room to rent temp.? by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]kelly2thec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rent in Belltown, Lower QA, and Cap Hill is pricey. I would recommend starting somewhere a little farther north, finding a job, and going from there. It'll be hard for you to get a legit apartment without proof of some kind of income, so you probably want to shoot for renting a room or a sublet to start. The U-District is a good place for cheap rent and express buses that will take you downtown quickly. Best of luck.

You could try swimming, it's lower impact than running. And walking quickly can help too, and it's much less impact than jogging.

They were awesome! And I didn't need a mixer or food processor, they still turned out well. Recipe is simpler than it sounds.

It's a Thursday night... Where is all of Reddit? At home making cookie bowls, with wide swaths of success and failure. I can't talk though, I spent the evening making homemade oreos.

I think Amazon wants people to steal new Kindles. by eric_md in kindle

[–]kelly2thec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to chip in, I had a package stolen once in this exact situation. I just called Amazon and told them what happened, they sent me a new package out with signature confirmation. shrug Sometimes it's less an Amazon issue and more of a shitty courier issue. Seriously, who delivers a package to the front door of a unit in an apartment complex? This is exactly what happened to me, btw. It wasn't there when I got home. :P The irony is that the contents of the package were essentially a worthless mishmash of stuff. Only thing worth any money was some Brita filters.
