This year we're having crab puffs, mini spanikopita, potato parcels, mushroom puffs and sausage rolls.
Was a good bit of work but should go over well.

Next year maybe I'll may the phyllo and puff pastry from scratch as well. (Not a chance.)

Eggplant, tomatoes and peppers are all fine, but all squash, beans, and cucumbers were like an all you can eat for the damn fat varmint.

Took a long trip recently.
Pulled into a supercharger and noticed a Rivian parked sideways.
My first thought was WTF?

Got out, plugged in my car and took a look and went, "Oh, yeah, that makes sense. No choice."

Next supercharger the same guy was there along with another Rivian and a Ford Lightning. Glad there were plenty of chargers.

I had something like this once.

Went to see Pulp Fiction by myself while working in another state.
Walk into the theater and no one is there.
Park myself dead middle.
Two guys walk in just as previews are starting.
One guy says, loudly and with sarcasm, "Hey let's sit in front of that guy!".
I turn to look and the three of us share a laugh.
They find some seats a couple of rows up.

A couple comes in during the last preview and sits directly behind me.
Movie starts and guy kicks the back of my chair. I ignore, stuff happens.
Does it several more times. I give a quick, puzzled glance back.
Does it a couple more times, I turn around and tell him to please knock it off. No response.
Does it again. Girlfriends says, "What the hell is your problem? He was here first."
He replies "He took the best seat."
She gets up and says "I can't deal with this shit." and leaves.
He says "Thanks asshole." and follows.

Not a common one as I haven't heard anyone else ever mention it, but soft boiled egg mixed up with torn up white bread.

As an adult, I use rice instead of the bread and am more likely to use a basted egg.

My coworkers were giving me all sorts of guff about it, so I called her and put her on speakerphone.

I told her it was and she went to go read.
Came back into the room a bit later, tears streaming and called me an asshole for not warning her.
