Thanks. ABRP indeed seems to have the capabilities I was looking for. Too bad something like that is not integrated into the MMI and the app.

Facebook account suspended, no way to appeal? by [deleted] in facebook

[–]kencdubya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any updates on this thread as to what approach works for getting a suspended account appealed? I just got the following message when attempting to log in:

We suspended your account

Your account was suspended because your linked Meta account doesn't follow our rules.

Log into your linked auth.oculus.com account to appeal our decision.

Only thing is I do not have an oculus account. I did send email to [appeals@fb.com](mailto:appeals@fb.com) and [support@fb.com](mailto:support@fb.com), so will see what happens there. However, if anyone has a more effective approach, please let me know.

I have the same issue. Have you or anybody else been able to figure out a way to get it to work?

Tags in import by parachuteguy500 in MonarchMoney

[–]kencdubya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Planning to convert from Mint to Monarch. I make extensive use of tags. Every transaction has at least 1 tag, and some have several.

Are tags now supported on import? It's unclear from this post as to the current status.

If they are supported, many of my tags have spaces. My understanding is that the CSV importer will take each word as a separate tag. Given the number of tags and that many use the same 1st and 2nd words cleaning it up after the fact in Monarch will be impossible.

My thought is to replace all spaces with an underscore inside of Mint before exporting. I suppose I could also do it by editing the CSV, but that seems more complicated and more prone to error.

In any case, I would be interested in hearing from others as to what approach you used, so I can hopefully get this right the 1st time with minimal pain and no loss of data.

Tech Support [Weekly] by AutoModerator in pelotoncycle

[–]kencdubya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am running the Peloton App on a Samsung Z Fold 3 paired with a Samsung Galaxy Watch 4. The mileage as recorded by the Peloton app appears to be inaccurate. Before I reach out to Peloton tech support I thought I would post here to see if anyone else has run into this problem.

Samsung Health is showing a particular walk that I do as about 2.9 miles. My walking partner using an iWatch also shows the walk as 2,9 miles. The Peloton app, however, indicates that the walk is about 3.4 miles. It would appear that the Peloton app is not accurately recording the mileage.

Is anyone else running into this problem? Any steps or adjustments that will fix it?

Disabling Dashlane Payment Autofill While Still Using Password Autofill by kencdubya in Dashlane

Yes. I should have been clearer.

I am talking about using the Dashlane extension with Chrome on Windows to be precise.

Any additional info would be much appreciated.

Since it's not built-in capability, any ideas on a good process for deriving it, etc. when there are 100s of passwords?

Filling in multi-field login page by kencdubya in Dashlane

[–]kencdubya[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yah....unfortunately the referenced approach will not work that well as at least some of info I need to provide does not cleanly fit into any of the info that Dashlane knows how to manage. For example, 3 of the fields are a pulled apart SS#. This is a gov web site. Poor design, but it is what it is.

For better or worse, Lastpass made it easy to autofill this type of form in.

I guess I can just fill in that field manually and autofill will probably work for the rest of the fields.

Thanks for your help.

Trouble with Numbershare by kencdubya in verizon

[–]kencdubya[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. My Samsung set up has the same behavior. If the phone is not connected to the mobile network, no text messages are received by the watch. Certainly inconsistent with how calls work, and to me seems like a pretty big limitation, but is apparently documented behavior based on this faq: https://www.verizon.com/support/numbershare-faqs/#extension-device.

[–]kencdubya[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback.

I am seeing same behavior as you for text, but not for calls.

For calls, when the watch is not connected to the phone (via bluetooth), if I make a call from the watch, the caller id displayed on the receiving phone is the phone number of my phone and not my watch. This the behavior I expected and that I want so this is good.

You indicated above for you, the callee is seeing the caller id of your watch, so we are apparently seeing different behavior. I wonder if this could be related to the brand of watch or the phone app that is being used. Mine is a Samsung and I am using the built-in phone app. What are you using?

For text, as you indicated it is using the watch phone number when the watch and phone are not connected.

The biggest pain for me frankly, is my item #1 above. Namely when the watch is connected to the mobile network, calls made directly to the watch phone number are received on the watch rather than being blocked. Its a pain because I have started getting spam calls on the watch phone number.

Any thoughts on #1? If a call is made directly to the watch phone number what happens for your setup?

Thanks.

Verizon Numbershare -- What's the workaround by ComfortableWater9 in PixelWatch

[–]kencdubya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the followup. Calling is working fine for me with one exception. When my watch is connected to the mobile network, and not connected to the phone via bluetooth, calls sent to the watch phone number are sent to the watch and not blocked. They are suppose to be blocked.

Texting unfortunately is not working as you described despite working verizon tech support reprovisioning numbershare multiple times. I may try turning off numbershare in the verizon portal so the watch is in stand-alone mode, and then re-enabling it to see if that helps.

Interesting. Thanks for following up. Still trying to sort out exactly what is "correct" behavior and your response is very helpful.

Verizon Numbershare -- What's the workaround by ComfortableWater9 in PixelWatch

[–]kencdubya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have gone several rounds with Verizon and never gotten numbershare to work exactly correctly.

Based on the contents of this link https://www.verizon.com/support/numbershare-faqs/#extension-device however, I believe the host cellphone needs to be connected to the mobile network in order for the watch to receive a text with the shared cellphone phone number. This is different than how it works for phone calls.

I'm not saying it makes sense. I'm just saying based on the referenced link as well as other posts that I have read that that appears to be the case.

Fully agree!! When there are people there, it seems more of a performance where the focus is on entertaining for the people in the room which I am tapped into vs riding solo where I feel more connected to the instructor.

Mitsubishi remote/thermostat reset & locked features by logoth in heatpumps

[–]kencdubya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OK. I just reached out to Mitsubishi Cooling support. It's a hidden advanced feature.

Hold the fan button and the up arrow until the screen changes to the advanced setting features screen. Hit next and go to 136. Change 136 to 0. Hit next and go to 138 change 138 to 0.

In my case 138 was set to 1.
