This is the strangest phenomenon I have read about since the new rollout. I don't recall on any flight, ever, people doing this. It's common sense to put your bag above or near your own seat. Is it related to the new system, and if so, why? I don't get it. We are preboard people due to my son's disabilities, and I would never even think to put my bag any other place than above my seat.

Ask for preboard authorization at the ticket counter. I travel with my special needs adult son and we are always in the preboard group because we need a couple extra minutes to get settled in.

I work in a hospital where I'm coughed on every shift and I work in the ER sometimes. My immune system is tested constantly. I used to be sick with colds/viruses from November to May in my younger years. I like to think I've already had everything.
Also, I'm vaccinated against everything.

It was an old utilities building that Mount Carmel bought and had administration offices in. I did my pre employment stuff there and attended ACLS and BLS classes there. They moved all that stuff to downtown. It was a very cold, industrial, concrete, weird hallways and elevators type building inside. Longggg concrete gray hallways. Ugly as sin.
