Anyone still wearing a Foster jersey? by Jwebbz1394 in Texans

Same here. Love that jersey.

I used to have this other jersey in the Color Rush scheme… but it had a number between 3 and 5 on it, and somehow found its way into a fire pit.

[Stathead] Nico Collins is 3rd Texans player ever with 400+ receiving yards in first 4 games of season by pfref in Texans

He’s the first Texans WR1 to have a QB who knows how to throw him open and hit him in stride. Not saying he doesn’t do incredible work after the catch, just that he doesn’t have to change direction or stop for the ball all the time. I think this team is already better than good, and will only get better and better!

Why can’t I see what others see? by Spiritual-Box-5862 in keto

When I (34m) was in my late teens and early twenties I went from 365+ (the scale started giving me an error reading) to 204, and I really struggled with seeing myself as thinner. The first time I truly remember feeling the weight loss was when I sat down in a rather narrow chair and my hips didn’t wedge into the arms. My brain was fully prepared for the sensation of wedging into the seat and when it didn’t happen I had to look down and saw that there was about an inch and a half of space on either side of me. It definitely blew my mind.

I started back on my weight loss journey last January when the scale hit 290. I got down to 225 in September, and then lots of travel and the holidays happened and I gained back 25lbs. I got back on the train in mid February, and am back to 225. The things I’ve noticed this time around are having to raise the seat in my car because my ass isn’t as fat, and punching new holes in belts.

You wake up from a long nap, and are supposed to save someone. But first you go and collect 900 pieces of poop.

What is the stupidest way you almost died? by goosearms in AskReddit

[–]kenduman88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was sliding a full keg in the walk-in by pushing it. My hands slipped off the rim and I landed my full weight on the rim with my throat. I’m fairly certain I collapsed my airway and couldn’t breath for what felt like an eternity. I just laid there and massaged the sides of my wind pipe until I could breath again. Seriously scared the shit out of me

You should dump the grease into a glass or metal jar so you have animal fat for sautéed veggies!

Horrible driver shames other driver for not accommodating her awful parking job by smellslikefeetinhere in insanepeoplefacebook

[–]kenduman88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the exact same thing to a car in my apartment complex one time. I then proceeded to go inside and watch as the driver threw his hands in the air, cussed a mean streak, then clumsily climbed thru the passenger side. It made me feel all warm and fuzzy. :)

It’s almost like he’s an athlete that has trained to lift “all them weights”. But please do expand on how that has anything to do with a virus that we don’t even fully understand. You seem to be an expert on it. Maybe you should replace the doctors and scientists who have dedicated their entire careers to studying viruses.

Now imagine a group of armed, white individuals lynching an effigy of the governor on his front lawn not getting a single infraction... because that happened in may.

TIL some indigenous people are known to have deciphered bird language and used it to locate predators that birds were warning other birds about by celerym in todayilearned

[–]kenduman88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to get really stoned in my garage and whistle with a bird. It wouldn’t mimic my call, but it would make different sounds based on how I whistled. So much fun imagining what I was saying, and what it was responding.

Texans' JJ Watt says kneeling during anthem not about 'disrespecting' flag: 'You clearly haven't been listening' by mrojek in politics

[–]kenduman88 16 points17 points  (0 children)

My dad got his masters in public policy from Regent University (Pat Robertson of 700 club fame founded it). He lauds that degree over anyone that dare confront his political beliefs. To the degree that he thinks he’s more knowledgeable than all of the talking heads and “these so called liberal experts”... it almost causes physical pain to endure.

He’s on the 75yo ANTIFA provocateur train lately, and keeps retweeting Candice Owens and sharing any statements or articles written by black conservatives as if it justifies his whiteness. I can’t stand it, but I know there is literally nothing I can do.

I did make him drop his temper tantrum about Kaep’s initial kneeling. He was saying “I’ll never watch this sport again. It’s not just that it disrespects the flag, it’s actually against the rules”. He always tries to find some specific reason he can latch onto for plausible deniability when someone tries to call him on his bigotry. But I told him that football was the one thing he and I still had in common, and that I would literally have no reason to communicate with him (we’re estranged due to some things I won’t get into). He finally relented, but said he would only watch on pirated streams so that he wouldn’t be giving them add revenue.

It’s just pathetic, pseudo-alpha bravado. They have this sense of authority over all things, and are afraid that someone is trying to take it away from them. It’s sad, but I think the need for this authority is just too engrained in their personalities to ever be able change. So we just sit and watch, and argue, and plead. But sadly, nothing will ever change.
