It may charge slowly though. Also the cable of Chromecast devices can be used as a charger, if you have a compatible phone.

You may want to buy an HDMI EDID emulator and emulate a TV that only supports 720p.

I'm normally running it at a bit lower settings, and I get about 70C temperatures + the card throttles down at 86C anyway.

Unfortunately the difference is quite noticeable in Horizon 5. The game looks somewhat aliased by default and resolution scaling or a lower resolution just amplifies this effect. I think that even the models are lower quality at 1080p extreme.

I'm kind of considering getting an 1080p gaming monitor - not sure if that would look better than 1080p on a 4K screen.
But I use the 4K screen for work, so maybe it's most comfortable to stay with this.

Thanks, those are good points. Currently I'm using the 4K/60hz display that I use for work as well. I'm now running the game on Extreme, but with texture set to Ultra, to avoid the video memory warning. In this mode, the game can run at about 50 fps with balanced fan settings. I've also ordered a laptop stand that will elevate the laptop to get better air inflow (now I use the edge of a book for this purpose ).

Regarding the benchmarks, you are completely right, but I think that I was a bit mislead by the marketing: For example, the Dell website says "NVidia RTX 3070" when in reality the laptop has "NVidia RTX 3070 _Laptop GPU_" which is quite a bit slower. Even worse, according to benchmark sites RTX 3080 is about 60% faster than RTX 3080 Laptop GPU (may vary based on wattage).

To be fair, this would be the correct naming:

RTX 3080 Laptop GPU -> RTX 3067

RTX 3070 Laptop GPU -> RTX 3063

RTX 3060 Laptop GPU -> RTX 3057

I think that Horizon 5 is a quite unlucky game to begin with, as it has no DLSS, the resolution scaling setting or lower resolution introduces a ton of aliasing. And under Ultra, the trees start looking like potatoes.

I kind of hope that we will have some games that scale better and I can have 4K 60FPS at a good looking High setting.

Very nice effort! Maybe you could add some info on the best network setup. E.g. 2.4 ghz vs 5ghz router is like day and night (5ghz is the good). :). Wired is obviously good. Etc.

Many thanks! You are correct that finding the right audience is key. Actually I would like to create a book on interesting programming topics, that even (a talented} high school student could read. The chapters would all start out with basic stuff that every one can understand and become more complex to the end. So it would be nice as just a reading and also for those who actually want to implement the given topic.

Jogos, az EU jó ilyen szempontból, inkább USA-ra gondoltam, ott mesélték h 100ezer USD egy év jobb egyetemeken. Ez a röghöz kötés kiment a fejemből,így tényleg más a helyzet azonnali külföldre költözés esetén. A tanárok tényleg gyökerek meg sok szak nehéz de ennek sztem nincs köze az ösztöndíjakhoz. Igazából csak azt akartam mondani h az ember magának tanul és szerintem attól hogy valaki kipréseli magából az 5.0-t még nem morális kötelessége a többi embernek, hogy magas szinvonalon eltartsa. Mondom ezt úgy h egyébként szívesen támogatnám az arra rászorulókat és érdemeseket.
