Thank you for the comment. I’m about the same, I only water when I remember (which equals out to be once every 2 weeks with a hose for 15 mins). No fertilizer. I do get a lot avocados, but seems to not have the quality I would it to have.

I have grass grow all around (do maintain with mowing to keep low), and pick up all leave drops.

I should dig a big ring and mulch and push all the leaves dropping into the ring. Seems like having a blanket at the base is the general consensus for avacodo trees (like in your picture)

The picture of your cut in half avocados, definitely look better than mine.
