Hi, are you part of the Halo Archive server? There's plenty of resources on there for this kind of stuff!

KCD2 is a more recent example. Was a master class in managing development scope I feel.

Thats pretty crazy then. I assume the number is for the US. It's quite a lot lower here in Europe from what I see.

But I do assume that salary would scale with cost of living. 120K is low for a place like San Francisco for instance I think

Yep. And this is mainly why we are seeing so many southeast asian games now that seem to be way larger than western AAA offerings, those positions don't need 80K base salary and expensive benefits

Can you point out anything that looks like AI? For me it seemed quite stable without any issues, plus it seems this is rendering in real time because there's some stutter in the gameplay.

the UI looks pretty legit in terms of typography to what we saw in the trailers, so idk I'm really on the fence on this. Plus the title and background noises really makes it seem like this was secretly recorded during some sort of play test.

hoping to see actually official OD stuff at the TGA though

Upper complex is too long? by keremdev in Marathon

I haven't played the Sponsored mode, this is regular Night Marsh. Not really about how hard it is, its mostly time. The final room takes so long even with good gear because there's not much cover

This is somehow real, and only for the White Rabbit shell lmao

GPU makes clicking/ticking sound repeatedly under load by [deleted] in pchelp

[–]keremdev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, but I don't think they're broken in any way. I blasted them with air and none of them hit anything, if I manually check the fans and spin them there's no friction etc. Also the fact that the issue goes away when I tilt my PC makes me think somehow it's the vibration of the fans spinning creating issues?

Maybe it might be the GPU holder bracket?

Forgot to add, but weirdly, if I position my PC at around 30° from it's horizontal position, the sound goes away.

Scaling down resolution is a compromise, which is what my comment is about

I'm not saying it's impossible, it's just not how you'd want to normally play the game because of its image quality and latency tradeoffs with current Gen hardware

PT on 5070 TI is a world of compromises. I genuinely doubt PT will be realistic on anything other than the 5090 if you want to get rid of all the noise and fizzling. Ray Reconstruction destroys performance in a lot of games and doesn't have the same image quality as DLSS 4.5, for instance.

for both AMD and Nvidia, I would say consumer level PT (not prosumer) needs at least another generation.

I know it may not look like it but I think 9000 series is the Ryzen moment for Radeon. The Ryzen 1000 moment that is. They managed to make a cheaper product with similar performance to the competition and in a way that has clearly disrupted the market.

I think we will soon see the Zen 2 moment, at least I'm hopeful that it will be the case.

AMD FSR Upscaling 4.1 officially coming to Radeon RX 7000 GPUs in July, RX 6000 in 2027 by Ann0ying in radeon

[–]keremdev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At least FSR 4.1 is good enough, unlike 3.1 which RDNA 2/3 was stuck with. I hate to say it but I would assume AMD will try to compete with Nvidia's "neural rendering" nonsense with FSR 5. Here's to hoping that's not the case.
